Having got yesterday out of the way, I thought it would be fun to check in on the spuds forum. Turns out they are very confident and excited about Tuesday night. They definitely have a new stadium lift, which I am sure the players will feel as well. It is an interesting question about what do you prefer the league or CL. I think I will happiest if the dippers don’t win anything. For the record, I prefer the league. I couldn’t find who the officials are for this game, but I will add later if I do find out. I think I will add some post-match comments as well for these three games, I expect fireworks
COME ON CITY!!!
Team Selection
Lloris
Aurier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies;
Sissoko, Winks, Dele;
Eriksen, Kane, Son
And the rest…
Park the bus & take a 0-0. Get them all nervous in the 2nd leg where away goals will come in to play. Go through with a glorious 1-1. Doing things the right way!
City is fucked. They may envoke the mercy rule in the first leg
Not having a game this weekend could be a big plus for us. Need to use the momentum from tonight and really take the game to these bastards, sit off them in any way and they will pick us apart
7-1
Be interesting if most would prefer to beat city in the league or CL knockout. I'd be happy with either but probably the league is the sensible option. Basically making sure we get top 4 in the league
I might be crazy - but I think we can do this, even if it is just the first leg. The fact they have a game on the weekend and we don't will help
NO TRIPPIER PLEASE !!!!!
Can see the point people are making but I'd 100% rather win the CL game than league game…Lose to City in the league and we've still got a kind looking set of fixtures until the end of the season to ensure top four…This is the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE quarters. Just imagine a semi final against Juve or Ajax in that stadium. Spine tingling stuff…Plus helping the scousers win the league
Looks like they're struggling for a left back with Zinchenko injured yesterday. And hopefully Aguero will still be out
We’ll smash these, then we’ll smash Barca in the semi’s, then the bin dippers in the final
Just got two tickets in South row 68. £75 Jeez. When I first had a season ticket if cost less than one of those
Think we can do this! 3 times in a month is hardwork! but we are Spurs!
Don't think you can underestimate how useful Eriksen is when playing on the counter. Just because he's not a pure speed merchant, like Lucas or Son, doesn't mean he's not a useful player to have in a team playing on the counter. Plays with his head up and can find the players in space with some intelligent passing...I'd play him ahead of Lucas. Can always bring on Lucas against tired legs towards the end of the match
After our dreadful spell of results, the win yesterday will be a big boost. MC are better than us but I think we will win 1 of the 3 matches and this one is the home one. Unless Dier or Aurier come back in the team expect winks will play but most of yesterday's team will also play. Perhaps Davies dropping out
CL music in the new Gaff is gonna be sumink special..
I think finishing top 4 may be more important this time around. That way we can better attract new players to sign on. Providing, of course, that Levy will actually try to sign them
I think we should go right at them in the first leg, high press the fuck out of them and take a decent lead up north
I don't fear them…I don't see the disparity in quality that others seem to…Yes they have a deeper squad and that will show over 38 games. However, this isn't 38 games, it's 3 games in a week and a half and we are pretty well rested coming into the stretch and late season is our time under Poch…We should be looking, and expecting, to win all three of these matches. No excuses. Performances and results against this lot have been shameful in recent years. That ends here. Now…3 victories. Nothing less
We'll win this. Not so confident about the second leg but that's for another day
No fear thats the go…They are just skin and bone held together by oil!
We need to go for this, to give us a chance for the away leg. I would love to get through to the semi, that would be some achievement, considering all the obstacles we have had to deal with this season
Aguero not even in the squad for City today so can only assume he will be out Tuesday ? Surely won’t be fit. Certainly a positive with his record against us.
Fuck City in the Ass!! Fuck City in the face!!! Fuck city in the eye. If Brighton can go toe to toe with them all game, then see no reason why we can’t give them a beating. Fuck the Northern manc money bag cunts!!!!
I didn't used to mind them, but there's no getting away from it, they have the financial backing of an oil-rich country, and they somehow get away with exploiting the FFP rules. The football they dish up is usually entertaining and you have to say that Pep has made a team of individual stars. Just don't think it would be good for the game in general for one team to make a clean sweep (unless it's us, of course!)
Walker might be out with a hamstring problem. I'm guessing Aguero will be too
Well Aguero was apparently available for today’s game but they chose to rest him. I honestly think he’s certain to play against us…Their full back situation is getting dire though. Seems like they only have danillo fit at the moment for both right and left back. Not even sure who there putting on the left right now
I would rather win this than the league Game, winning the league game also means pool will likely win the league, get to the semi and I fancy our chances against the hardest draw possible (Juve) over 2 legs and then it’s the final, let’s face it worse teams than us have won the CL, plus win all our remaining home games and it should give us enough for top 4 any way so city is a free hit as far as the league is concerned
So us, pool and city are playing Tuesday, seems only right that we get to play Saturday early kick off while city and pool play on Sunday
City went in big favourites against the Dippers last year too... I'm sure all can remember how that turned out…Turn up, chest out, balls swingin'; fear no-one
Could you imagine the magnitutue and longevity of the bragging right if we beat the oil shitty lot in all three?
I don't know whether its the euphoria of the new stadium finally being ready, but i am beginning to feel confident about this
Was annoyed that we drew them, but fuck it let’s do them, they can have the three other trophies, but not this one
We should fear no one in this, revenge on Juve in the semi or a glamour tie with Ajax and then smash Barca in the final! This is our year

I usually treat my body like a temple. Last night I treated mine like a whorehouse above a liquor store next to a motherfucking Taco Bell.
