UEFA Exec Member Charged

With apols to City64, but I thought it might deserve it's own space. Easy to see how PSG got off with very clear 'breaches'. But of course any law forbidding owners from investing in their business is clearly insane. It's about consistency

Paris Saint-Germain president and UEFA executive committee member Nasser Al-Khelaifi has been charged by the office of the Swiss attorney general in connection with the award of media rights to various World Cup and FIFA Confederations Cup tournaments.

Jerome Valcke, former Secretary General at FIFA, has been charged with accepting bribes, several counts of aggravated criminal mismanagement and falsification of documents. Al-Khelaifi and another individual have been charged with inciting Valcke to commit the aggravated criminal mismanagement. He no longer faces an accusation of bribery, however.

The PSG president is a major executive at beIN Media group, a broadcast company that is the biggest buyer of UEFA's television rights. He also sits on the UEFA executive committee, the organisation's supreme executive body representing European clubs headed by president Aleksander Ceferin.

Responding to the charge on Thursday, Al-Khelaifi hit out at leaks, misinformation, a media agenda and materials that had been faked, fabricated, or illegally sourced.

"After an exhaustive three-year investigation, where I have fully and openly cooperated with the Public Prosecutor in Switzerland, I am pleased that all charge of bribery in connection with the 2026 and 2030 World Cups have been dropped," his statement read.

"As I have said vehemently and repeatedly for three years, the charges have not - and have never had - any basis whatsoever, either in fact or law. It is now - finally - indisputable fact that the 2026 and 2030 agreements were negotiated at arms-lengths [sic] and without any improper influence in any form.

"After the most forensic public, private, lawful and unlawful scrutiny of all my dealings, I have been cleared of all suspicions of bribery and the case has been dismissed definitively and conclusively. While a secondary technical charge remains outstanding, I have every expectation that this will be proven completely groundless and without any substance whatsoever, in the same way as the primary case.

"While I have cooperated with all autohrities during the legal process, the three year investigation has been characterised by constant leaks, misinformation and a seemingly relentless agenda to smear my reputation in the media - completely irresepctive of the facts and the notion of due process.

"For that reason, I have requested the relevant Swiss authorities to open a criminal enquiry into the conduct of the investigation. I also reserve the right to take action against certain media who for three years have repeatedly published factually-unsupported and highly damaging articles, often based on illegally-sourced and - quite remarkably in some cases - faked and fabricated materials, to satisfy their narrative of my supposed guilt."

UEFA reopened a Financial Fair Play investigation into PSG in September 2018, having initially concluded in June that there were no issues with their spending up to June 2017. However, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) ruled that UEFA had not reviewed the decision within the proper deadline. Al-Khelaifi was appointed to the UEFA Executive Committe in February 2019.

Manchester City will return to the AS in Switzerland in an attempt to get their two-year expulsion from the Champions League overturned. CAS described media links cited by City as "worrisome" in a hearing last year. They could also go to the Swiss Supreme Court.

I don't mind PSG, really.

I think they are similar to us in the view of UEFA. PSG had their share of dodgy decisions and draws in the Champions League since they came back in it. The game vs Barcelona when they were robbed for a 6-1 was a travesty, while last season, versus filth they had a penner against them in the 93 minute, with VAR in an "interesting" way showing just one angle of the replay.

Now, I really don't think PSG was against us in the whole travesty that happend in the past week and since the whole investigation started.

I would be surprise if they were all guns out against us. It would define logic.

That was my only take on this, that could had been the only reason why they would be against us, but wouldn't they take a huge gamble?
After they executed us, UEFA moved to the next target, them.

The Mbappe & Neymar transfers will be the reason.

Qatar = World Cup = bribes and corruption . PSG = Qatar and as Outcast has stated Qatar and UAE political enemies .

They were found NOT guilty mate, that's the point. By the exact same committee. Despite overwhelming independent evidence
