Goal of the Match

Postby mr_nool » Tue Jan 12, 2010 8:51 am

Seing that MOTM was quite obvious, I thought we'd have a poll regarding the goal of the match. We had three really good ones to choose from i.m.o (Tevez first being the exception). Personally I go for the 4-1. The control that went in to that tevez shot is amazing! Micah's run was fantastic, but not as good.

I was just watching the highlights again

http://footyroom.com/manchester-city-3- ... s-2010-01/

and I can't decide between Tevez's second and third goals....both were brilliant. The second for the ball to Benjani and then desire to get onto the return. The third for pure technique which was exquisite

Went for the last one also. The no-back-swing thing was awesome. Very difficult to do. Micah looked spectacular but then it opened up nicely and CBs should do that more.

For the overall move, run, pass, follow through, I chose Micah's goal.

For shot on goal only, Tevez's 2nd for me.

tevez 3rd. to get that pace and accuracy on a shot with fuck all back lift is one of those skills that not very many players can do. world class finish.

It was good to see Micah do that because he used to occasionally rampage forward in his youth days, it shows his confidence is coming back. Top goal for me has to be Tevez' 3rd though. Truly world class & unstoppable.

Thanks Ant for the link to the highlights haven't seen goals since last night. Tevez third without any doubt, well an inkling of doubt cause Micahs charging run was brilliant, would have been the goal of the year had he popped it into the top right corner instead of the pass to Benjani, but thank fook he got it off the rebound.

Class.
I haven't a fecking clue what I'm doing! Gillie come back man I want my sig back. As the Photobucket thingy gone?

Richards for me, I was kinda hoping he'd take on Samba and finish without passing to Benji as well...

If Micahs finish had been more aesthetically pleasing it would have won goal of the month - still the goal of the match for me
