Big issue with United is that the bulk of the away hardcore get their tickets through corporate season ticket holders, as that is the only way to be certain of a ticket every match due to the way the loyalty pot works. It amazes me how many companies who have corporate season tickets for OT are prepared to let away tickets go to know hooligans, and this seems to be sanctioned by the club.

Evidence - a couple of my acquaintances take advantage of this loophole, one was arrested in the ground vs Lille a couple of years ago when it kicked off in the ground. The police took the ticket stub off him after arresting him, so they knew exactly where the ticket had come from, and the club have done nothing about it and allowed the corporate ticket to remain.

The ticket should be revoked for that company for life if one of their tickets if found to have been used, but the club do fuck all, preferring to rake in the schilling.
