Crowd for Brum

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Crowd for Brum

Well I reckon this one may stagger up toward a sellout by matchday, at least from the City end. Wonder if Brum will fill their bit. The interesting thing is that Brum have only been given (asked for?) an allocation of 1,700 for this match. So I guess if we fill our bit the smart-moving ticketing manager will flog off the rest of the usually-empty away block to City fans, maybe at a tenner, subject to segregation.

It should do, but I fear it wont completely sell out, so:

Disappointing for Birmingham. It's only an hour away on the train. They should be bringing 2500.

Especially since they are doing so well this year, I would have expected them to be in both great numbers and voice?

Brum usually bring a decent crowd and it makes for a decent atmosphere, especially with their infamous Zulu's spending more time trying to abuse our supporters than actually watch the game.

I'll be amazed if they don't sell out the initial allocation of 1700. The club probably don't want to take the other 1100 as I think they have to pay for them if taken.

London is roughly two hours. Birmingham is roughly one hour. Express trains rock my world.

London is just over 2 hours on the direct train. Birmingham is 1hr 30 and often longer as you queue to get into Piccadilly or New St as it stops everywhere.

Train spotting bit over.

I think we'll sell out as long as they release the extra Brum tickets early enough. Being the Sunday should help for people who've been away this week as well, so no excuses.

Hehe. You get faster trains than me!! Im roughly between Coventry and Oxford. A train to Brum new street takes about 50min for me,where as a train to Manchester takes 2.30/3 hours..Which means for my journey it takes around a further 1.40/2 hrs to get from Brum to Manc. But I guess there's more direct roots from London?? I think its the Euston that misses out my root and goes via MK and Northampton etc?
