Let's be honest, it's only a matter of time before some cunt buy's them..even the scum.....they will never go bust as someone somewhere will buy them as well.

We just have to take advantage (right now) of other teams financial plight's and get the players in, after which who cares what other temas like pool et al do.

I fucking hope not!

The only thing that doesn't make sense is that the reason given for our takeover was to promote the middle east and particularly abu dabi.

If this brother does take over at the dippers, then it goes against everything they're saying and clearly they want toys to play with.

Just because you're taken over by a billionaire does not mean your club will automatically spend shitloads of money.

We were very fortunate but it's not that often that billionaires are willing to throw money at a club.

Even if this was true, it doesn't mean Liverpool can compete with us yet. Look at QPR, Mittal is mega-rich but he doesn't spend that much.

This is a rumour at the mo. I'll be worried about Liverpool when they've outbid us and signed a player we wanted.

Liverpool fans think they are very close to a takeover. More likely they are a million miles. Only a fool would pay that price and cover those debts for the cowboys. Mega-rich people are rarely fools.

I was away with a mate last week who worked on the proposed deal that was in the offing prior to LFC managing to re-finance their RBS debt.

Honestly cannot see any deal being anywhere near close at the moment. If one were going to happen it would've happened prior to that (as the Americans were up against it massively and had to either refinance or sell).

As things stand, the slightest slip up re interest payments/loan covenants and Barcap will just take the shares (over which they have security) and it will be adios Gillette and Hicks.

They are definitely trying to sell but....as has been the case to date....their valuations are pie in the sky. So they are playing a dangerous game of trying to get out and make a profit before the banks close in on them (that doesn't mean that they are close to going bust...far from it....but the financing they have has very strict conditions as to how the club must be financially run in terms of keeping a certain amount of free cash/clear profit at all times. If they breach those conditions, the bank is legally able to take ownership of the shares in satisfaction of their loans. They would likely not do that but they could, and the fact that they could enables them to play hardball as to how the club is run....ie. they could direct the board to sell Player X or Y if a good offer came in etc, they could dictate the terms upon which a new manager is employed etc etc).

It is in the best interests of the club that they be sold asap but I just can't see it happening until the Americans have a reality check re price. The thing that drives a sale towards being more possible is that a condition of Barclays Capital refinancing the debt was that their investment banking arm be given the mandate to find a buyer. Not only is that a lucrative assignment but if effectively gives Barcap control over the process. They are the ones who will seek the potential buyers and they can present this to the cowboys and say...."accept it"....or we get nasty.

Reading his profile I cant see it, I get the feeling the website have googled Sheikh Mansours family and picked his wealthiest relative to start a rumour about, thus creating more interest for his forum.

The thing that gets me is how he says he cannot guarantee this will go through all he's saying is that they are at the table, this sounds like a get out clause for his reputation on his forum when it turns out to be absolute bollocks.

Utter garbage trying to make the fans seem happy honestly how would they know about this and the papers not picked up on this?? I know there usually full of shit but this kind of stuff usually doesn't get past them. If somebody that rich seriously was interested and the public had any knowledge it would be in the papers.

There was a rumour flying around that unnamed "extremely wealthy" consortium had checked the books as well and had done quick exit.

I get the feeling that there might be some underlying financial trouble there as well.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

So what I`ll do is post it on the world wide web.

Also, this made me piss myself

Stupid Scouser wrote:Sheikh Khalifa is wealthier than his brother Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan who owns Manchester City which also means he's richer than Chelsea's Roman Abromovich. Basically if he took control of Liverpool, we'd have more financial clout than both clubs.

Mansour is the minister of presidential affairs, ie Sheikh Khalifa's front man.
Khalifa hardly announces is ownership of anything, although he owns a lot of things.
If he decided to buy something, he'd probably put Mansour into it ;)
