Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

to watch City before the mass suicide with specially commissioned CTID blunt knives... cmon City i think a 4-1 roasting by Valencia will provide just the right ambience while i set about hacking my head off.
seriously though this will be one of the last chances for the players to play together before the 14th. due to international friendlies. (more friendlies!)
So as Bob showed he is happy to throw the new players straight as with Kolarov, we might get to see Boateng and Silva. Also i would think given the circumstances he will play DeJong and Tevez and just see how they all do. im kind of expecting us to field the strongest 11 we can at least for the 1st half. Again it doesn't matter if we win or lose it, even more so now as the priority has got to be getting some game time together for the potential starters against Spurs. Half or more of the squad will then f off for national duty, leaving just the Friday to train together, probs in London.
im not exactly sure this hasn't been made up by the Daily Mail.
Hart
Micah - Kompany - Boateng - Kolarov
DeJong
Silva - Yaya - Ireland
Tevez
Ade
Kolarov comes past Ireland and is fed by him and Yaya while Boateng covers for Kolarov
Micah and Yaya feed Silva
Tevez and Ade to just try and get penalties

Carl, how many have got done lad?
i think a kind of curved dagger.. something like the good Sheik would have encrusted with diamonds would be sweet. Come to think of it as these are for a one off use as it were, may as well go all out for a bit of bling... how about the
CTID in sapphires ?

Being positive, if we don't know what the team and formation will be come the start of season at least the opposition won't know either. Everyone expected us to struggle initially when SGE came in half way through pre-season then made a load of last min signings, but the opposite happened, and we took other teams by surprise, and had a great start. Same might happen again, who knows!
"You talkin' to me? You talkin' to me? You talkin' to me? Then who the hell else are you talkin' to? You talkin' to me? Well I'm the only one here. Who the fucl do you think you're talking to?"

Thats a great Idea!
I think a player should be registered at least an hour before a match (given window is still open). Get two signed and registered in the dark and put them in the team sheet. Harry will love it!

tbh im thinking the same as that, or at least there is as much chance of that as anything else. We will be an unknown quantity even to ourselves so fucl it we may as well go for it. If we get Balotelli by then it will make it well tricky for spurs to plan how to deal with us. Whatever has happened in these pre-season games it doesn't tell us much bcos when the competitive game arrives, especially against spurs im sure the players will be rabid. Id rather we look like a pile of cat doo and so give spurs even less of an idea of what we are capable of and higher their expectations of an easier ride.

DeJong
Silva - Yaya - De Jong
Tevez
Ade

Micah and Yaya feed Silva

Edited the line up.
That would be my team.
Also i think Adebeyour is on a bit of thin ice this year.
Has to deliver.

at last the ADUG have made that cloning machine we have all been asking for..
i suppose DeJong was happiest to try it out first, also quite clever of City to just change his name a little bit to make it seem it is a different player. Dejong

Normally, I am the happy clappy guy with the perma smile. I am the epitome of positivity. Usually I can find at least something to cling to, to believe in. If there's a straw, I'm the one content to cling to it.
but FFS at least give me a straw.
We're told that the preseason is all important and can define a season...this pre-season, what pre-season! I have never known one that has been such a shambles. I don't give two fucks about pre-season friendly results or even form. Rarely do the pre-season games bear any relation to what happens when the season starts. Usually though, the 1st team squad are there gaining fitness and gaining an understanding with each other and new players.
This time, the WC players and new arrivals haven't played a major role. The commercially governed USA trip has been a distraction rather than a preparation. There will be players that have had hardly any chance to shake hands, let alone learn about each other's foibles on the pitch.
If this is how we organise under Marwood...he wants his arse kicking up and down Joe mercer way.
Fuck the blunt blade brigade...too easy, yer wissies...I'm going for those little plastic kiddie scissors from the Early Learning Centre.
MARTYRDOM...THAT'S WHERE IT'S AT!!!
I KNOW THAT YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU UNDERSTOOD WHAT YOU THINK I WROTE, BUT I AM NOT SURE YOU REALISE THAT WHAT YOU READ IS NOT WHAT I MEANT

I will not be able to see it as I'm off to sea. Honestly, with some of the reactions here I'm not even too bothered (well yes I am but you know what I'm saying). People are going way overboard right now. Spurs next week is where it's at.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

We all know that mate but anyone watching City at the moment is relying on blind faith that it's all going to come right rather than evidence from anything they've seen.
As it happens, I expect the new players + Tevez to have a big impact & for us to look much better v Valencia & then Spurs but once again that's purely down to blind faith. I'd much rather be basing it on what I think the team looks like after watching football for 40 years & comparing it favourably but that comparison actually scares me.
