Liverpool on Monday.

Agger limped out of the Reds' clash at West Bromwich Albion at the weekend and has been ruled out of action for at least two months.

Glen Johnson also faces a spell on the sidelines after sustaining a hamstring injury at the Hawthorns, while the Reds are still waiting to discover the extent of the problem which forced captain Steven Gerrard to miss Saturday's game.

Dalglish told Liverpoolfc.tv: "Daniel has a problem with the tendon behind his knee and won't be involved again this season.

"He'll be out for a couple of months before he can start training.

"Glen Johnson has a hamstring problem which is usually about three or four weeks and it's the same for Martin Kelly.

"We will know about Steven at the end of the week. He will be assessed and we'll see what the story is.

"It's disappointing for the players because they want to play in every game. We're getting towards the end of the season but if you're injured you're injured.

"We feel for them but the most important people at the football club are the ones who are fit and able to play. We have to get on with what we've got.

"Fabio Aurelio and Jonjo Shelvey are training again and David Ngog had a game for the reserves on Monday. So we've lost some but we've got a few back."

Roll on monday night.

Let's not underestimate them just because they have some players out, as important as they may be. We need to keep focused and start the game as strongly as we did with Sunderland, get an early lead and then it's downhill form there.

3 out of 4 starting defenders and their captain and talisman being out surely must give us an advantage though.

I'd expect city to put them to the sword.

If City turn up the same, then it won't matter how many of their walking wounded climb off the table to also turn up.

Lets go on a roll to the end of the season. A fucking steam roll.

We mullered their best 11 earlier in the season, if we get an early goal, its game over the crowd will quieten down and we should over power them. I think the key is to not let them get the crowd up for it.

That Liverpool game was the last time before Sunderland that I thought we set up to really go at a team. We looked sharp and attack minded that night. Lets hope it continues.

i really hope kyriagos (sp) plays. he is absolutely dreadful and cannot see how he could possibly contain tevez or mario for that matter. The only player i fear is suarez in their whole squad. However i have a feeling bobby will revert back to his defensive ways. 1-1 im going for.

Not about the game itself but it must suck so bad to be a liverpool fan. Years and years of CL football and then demoted to the europa for the next god knows how many seasons.

Unlucky.

I'm worried about this one, they trashed the Scum last month so let's not disregard them just yet!

If we play like we did on Sunday with the dippers defence we will score, lots! But if Mancini reverts back to his usual self and Kenny plays Carroll, Kuyt and Suarez up front I can see us losing.

No more excuses about tired players bobby, let's give it to them!!!!!!!

It will be a difficult game because Liverpool at Anfield are always tough but especially now that Gerrard is injured for the match and out for the rest of the season, it presents a real window of opportunity to get three points there for us.

A point would still be a decent one but after being really concerned about this game a couple of weeks i really think that if we are on top of our game, three points are very much there for us.

As for Liverpool - if they finish 6th, the only way that would represent qualifying for Europa Lge is if we finished 5th but won the FA Cup.

I'd go for only 2 changes from the Sunderland win - Zabaleta and Milner in, Boyata and Balotelli benched: Just think Balotelli will do something or not work hard enough if we start him away from home.

------------------------Hart

Zabaleta----Kompany---Lescott---Kolarov

----------------De Jong--Milner

A. Johnson-------Yaya Toure-----Silva

----------------------Tevez

They will turn up and give it their all but the advantages are with City for this imo. They outdid the rags but they had a couple more key players and it was also their last chance to affect the rags title challenge.. I'd be sure the players were primed on what it meant to LFC.
I still think that City are better than the rags and a lot better than the Scouce1 particularly at the moment. As mentioned before I'm still waiting for City to get a mojo on and play to the potential that they look in glimpses like they can. This would be the perfect game to snap into gear and get momentum and team confidence for the rest of the games to come. Liverpool have shown they are very beatable even at home, if City get stuck in from the off we can over power them. A draw imo would be disappointing but acceptable just about, a win would look good on paper and make some headlines. But really the only significant thing would be if we outplayed them.

It is a bit of wishful thinking but there is still time for City to click into gear and storm to the end of the season. Looking at the games those around us have, they have difficult games against each other, we have some ghosts to put to rest in the Toffees and Spuds. 3% more mojo and a bit of backing from Bob and this team can still live up to expectations.

This isnt like me, but this time around I just can't see anything other than a solid city win. We are hitting form at the right time and going from this game with another win into the semi's will surely have those wankers looking at it from a very different angle.

This is straight forward as far as I can see. If Mancini goes for it we'll hammer them, if not it'll be a draw.

Spurs & Chelsea have squeaked through v poor opposition today but both looked very very unconvincing at times. If we get back the points they've gained when we play on Monday, I recon one or both will slip up in the next week or two & those ponints could then prove decisive as they have to play each other.

This is City's opportunity to prove we deserve to be in the Chump's Lg & are about to come of age as a team. A real team who has a serious chance of challenging next season would beat this injury hit Liverpool side. It's a lot more important to us than it is to them.

Time to make a statement.
