HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan

We can say all we want about the players on the pitch, the manager and the backroom staff, the CEO and Chairman, but the truth is, we probably wouldn't have had any of this without the man himself.

So thank you Mr Mansour, you are a gentleman who has invested in all those who support Manchester City Football Club, and for that I am truly greatful.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

I, humble peasant, bow in front of you, your royal highness.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Sheikh Mansour. Best thing that ever happened to Manchester City.

Would love to hear Longballs view of this, light of a couple of recent threads.

You cant buy success
You cant buy success
You cant bu.....

Oh wait .....

You've just bought success
You've just bought success
etc etc

So goes the tabloid shit rags. Thing is, Stretford, Chelsea, Blackburn have all bought success before and we simply have now joined the party, playing by the rules set by others.

Thank you so much to Sheikh Mansour and ADUG as a whole who've lifted this great club up by its bootstraps, and for helping give me a day I will never forget yesterday.

As much as I'm glad that the money came our way I'm not going to pretend that it couldn't just as easily have gone somewhere else.
Manchester City were the club which, at just the right moment, turned out to be the most attractive business proposition of its kind available to the sheik.

I/we were supporters of this club long before he came along and would have continued to have been so if he hadn't turned up with all the moolah.

We should in no way feel obliged to bow and scrape to him.

Thanks Mister Mansoor - but don't expect me to call you HRH eh?

Oh lighten up. Everyone's only having a bit of fun.

We've all supported City for years and dreamed of winning trophies. The reality is, it probably never would have happened without the Sheikh. Whether people would actually bow and scrape to him is another thing, but so what if he could have gone elsewhere. Why are you even thinking about that?

He chose us, end of. And I will be eternally grateful for that as he's allowed our glorious club to have a chance of the success it deserves. We are well on our way now to joining the European elite, a thought that couldn't even have been considered 3 years ago!

My cup runneth over mate - truly it does.

I just don't much like the slight whiff of cock sucking in some of the previous posts.

There is a picture of him on Bluemoon in a City Shirt with his kids on celebrating our win.

If Carlsberg made football owners, wait a minute he is real and ours!!

I truly believe in this man.
