10:45 News:
Bayern Munich confirm they have agreed a deal with Manchester City for Jerome Boateng - more to follow on skysports.com.

Can't say I'm bothered if we got our money back for him.

Weird signing to begin with. Way too raw for top Premier League Club. I got hammered last summer for saying that though.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I hope this means Nedum can develop just as Micah has into a Prem star.

Cocky fucker, never really liked him. Was shockingly shite to begin with, looked like he was picking up form then got injured and sort of forgot he even existed.

Presuming they met somewhere in the middle, how many times have we got over 10 million for a player?

€13.5million according to 'Bild', so about £12million. What did we pay?

About that.

My guess is we agreed to let him go for what we paid, which is fair enough imo.

Boateng will never be a top class cb, personally i'm very glad he is moving on, he was totally out of his depth in the prem.

I have a feeling we just made a direct replacement for Boateng in Savic... I doubt we'll see Nedum in sky blue again. his finish at Copenhagen was pure quality and brings back nice memories

I agree, can't see Nedum coming back into things.

Not bothered about him going if I'm honest. Even though he was played out of position at right back for most of the games he played, he didn't show enough promise, except for the odd game he had at centre back

One down, 3 or 4 still to get rid of

IMHO given a decent run of games Nedum is a top player, no world super star, he has never played with the quality midfield we have now sitting in front of him, Jack of all trades, which hindered him, He has pace he has size and most of all we do not need 4/5/6 million, I accept poor on the ball crap in fact. For me a top player waiting to burst out, his goal at Chelsea alone must buy him A 2nd look from the club. If Roger Johnson is 7, Cahill 15 mill then Ned is 17. 24 is nothing for a CENTRE HALF. British Back up worth looking at.

Not bothered at all. Very limited with the ball on his feet. The home game against WBA where JB played right back next to Kolo is among the most farcical things I've seen on a football pitch: the two of theme were passing (ineptly) the ball between them like it was a hot potato.

Add to this he looked lazy and disinterested in the games he did play.

Imo worst player at the club last season, even Jo for me contributed more!

A good deal for us getting him off the books.
