Think having them in the squad would give Bobby real problems.
First XI material.

No wonder we celebrated that particular goal. If memory serves thats Samaras's 2nd (now theres a phrase that doesnt come out very often) in a 2-1 win over Everton on New Years Day.

Thanks to the wonderful footy served up that season, we didnt score at home again until August when Johnson netted against Derby. Perhaps that photo showing us winning at home against Everton is an omen for tomorrow!!

Who's he playing for now?

Without Mpenza we would have all in probablity got relegated. Remember a couple of vital goals of his - winner at Newcastle being the one that sticks out the most.

Arrived in Dallas airport on Holiday waiting to get a connecting flight to Orlando. Naturally the first thing I do is get the old phone out and try and get a signal to get the City result. Anyway, find the result after about ten minutes of loading - and about £15 as I find out when I get back home - and just scream ' get the fuck in there' as load as I can, it was just instincts.

This being America and it not being that long after 9/11 I got some very very funny (and scared) from the natives. It could just be me, but Im sure I had about ten guards watching me untill I got on the flight.

Hatem Trabelsi was quality. Well, y'know, at the time. Remember Beasley scoring 3 goals in 4 games around Christmas time and thinking we'd found a real gem.

And that picture of Bianchi and Mpenza reminds me of a Carling Cup game down at Bristol City. They linked up really well to score the first goal and I remember going on the M.E.N. forum commenting we had the makings of a partnership to dominate the league.

Indeed.

Was that the one where Bianchi scored from 20-25 yards?

I really liked Needles too. As above, he came on a free and was largely the catalyst for us staying in the league. Definitely on the way down but he was the best forward we had at the time (and a good pick up from Pearce).
