How much better are we - really?

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

How much better are we - really?

Postby guv111 » Sun Jan 01, 2012 6:38 pm

The Rags are poor, but they still have Evra, Nani, Vidic, Jones and Rooney, who are better than Nasri, Johnson, Savic, Lescott and Dzeko. Man for man. In my opinion.

Yep, another thread mentioning the Rags. They're joint top with us, so obviously.

Maybe today and recent games should awake us aware of the fact that we don't have such a fantastic squad, after all. We really do need to improve it.

Two of those have only been with the squad 6 months or less. Yes you could say Nasri played in the Prem already but given time I am sure he will bed in. Savic is only young and as only had six starts and five or so sub appearances. To early to tell if they will be up to it, give them time. Plus Phil Jones aside you have made comparisons to seasoned rags who are up there with they're best 5 players.
I haven't a fecking clue what I'm doing! Gillie come back man I want my sig back. As the Photobucket thingy gone?

Five players who could get in our squad out of twenty odd isn't that great tbh.

Weren't the Chelsea (largely) and West Brom games just the same?

This is a definite blip. We're okay so far, but we can't keep doing this.

It's fair comment that they should have scored but it was still 'one of those days'. We are capable of doing much better.

You list United's 5 best players and compare them with 4 players who don't start that often for us (plus Lescott)???

Any more pearls of wisdom?

Mmm, loads.

Such as we're only as good as the team we put out in any given game - which seems to be our best eleven, with little leeway. As we saw today, their stand-ins weren't good enough. It's well known that our main opponents - Rags, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs - lack strength in depth, but we weren't supposed to. Even neutral commentators "ooh and aah" at our bench. Frankly, I don't any more.

We can't fucking buy a goal at the minute so i think the BLIP is our strikers being fucking faggots. Balo is the only one who seems capable and willing to actually try. Aguero (since he changed his boots) has needed 3 1 on 1's, 2 open nets and 5 other chances to get a shot on fucking target and dzeko seems to be our very own super special limited edition berbatov.

When balo is fit again (heard he is injured but not sure) drop the 2 queers and let balo have the spotlight, we all know he fucking loves the spotlight. Make a statement about resting on you lorals or whatever and try getting them all back firing for the second haf of the season.

EDIT* After reading i realised which thread i was in and this has fuck all to do with the thread. Shit thread anyway though so i dont care. The rags are wank and sunderland would of beat them by more than an offside 93rd minute goal if they had played them today (especially since that cheating orange cunt went off early)

That's just a shitty troll comment. Either explain why, or fuck off to some far worse City site, because with comments like that you're contributing nothing here.

You got told already, but I'll repeat it gladly. What is the point of comparing their best players to our bench?

Our bench, obviously, is not as good as our first eleven. Neither is theirs. Does today's result make their bench better?

What is the point of this thread?

Start your own thread, then. I notice that so-called fans who troll other people's threads never start any of their own.

How much longer can you, and people like you, get away with saying "What is the point of this thread?" re. everything they disagree with?

No offence, but you are a fucking clown. Agree or disagree with other people's opinions, but to make snide comments about the validity of starting threads is cunt-ish.

I'm not going to start my own thread because I don't want to waste other people's time if I don't have anything to say. I don't disagree with you. How could I? You don't even make a valid point! Man for man my arse. How about this man for man:

Nasri v Young
Johnson v Park
Savic v Evans
Lescott v Ferdinand
Dzeko v Berbatov

If you questioned our quality that way or similar, I wouldn't bother you or this topic. But you're not. Your opening post is pointless, you get called on it & then don't even bother to respond. You're full of shit.

Your point now is different to what you initially wrote. In your opening post, you compared United's best players to some of our squad players. Now you're talking about our squad depth vs. our competitors (which is a reasonable discussion to have). You've just not been very clear, that's all.

how much cock our strikers are sucking probably has little to do with their accuracy in front of goal. Just so you know.

cheers
