If, back then, we would have been offered the chance to be in second place, only 1 place behind the scum, with a superior goal-difference and with the home Derby to come with just 10 games to go, I doubt very very much that there is a City fan alive who would not have taken that offer without a second thought!
Maybe then, we should all be thankful that we are still well in the title race with our fate in our hands, stay positive, stop moaning and get behind our team when they need us the most.

Someone would have told you City would have 5 bites of the cherry this year - Prem, FA Cup, Carling, Champs Lge and Europe Lge - and yet potentially end up completely trophyless. Would you have been happy?

We have the second best away record in the league!

Poor away form? Yes - look at the facts.
Last 6 aways - Swansea 0-1, Villa 1-0, Everton 0-1, Wigan 1-0, Sunderland 0-1, WBA 0-0.
In our last 6 Aways, none of which came against sides in the top 8, we have won 2, Drawn 1 and lost 3. We have scored only 2 goals in those games and got 7 pts out of a possible 18. Thats 2 goals in 9 hours of football - only Torres would finds that strike rate decent.
Those games, and that away form, is what we will likely look back at in June when the "what ifs" start. We havent scored 2 or more in a Prem away game since QPR in early November. Concerns were raised about teams sussing us out away before Christmas but we have continued to play the same way - no width, no pace up top, no Plan B - and its getting worse.

I feel like there is some people knocking around with blinkers on.
Our away form is what will do us in the end its not been good enough convert those losses into draws and hey presto were top of the league again.
Some people need to wake the fook up.

Its hardly like its suddenly cropped up either. We've been poor away from home for months; the Napoli game first highlighted how teams will defend against us and we struggle to break them down, despite having the ball for 75 mins in a game. The truth about our away form and how its dropped off a cliff is there in black and white.

If at the start of the season this all powerful being (I'm going to assume it is the refs association) told you that to make this happen they would disallow penalties, give offside goals against us and call a few of our goals offside while giving them what I can only assume is a record or close to it amount of penalties, would you accept it? Or would you be fucking outraged?
I wouldn't care about being a point behind if I didn't know for a fact we will have a pen given against us or have someone sent off in probably 2 of the games against arse, chels and the scum while if they fuck up I know a ref will fix it for them. It won't be decided by the players, ours or theirs. It will and has been decided by the refs this season.
