Good to see them back in the PL! Good football club. Will be interesting to see how they fare next season but Norwich and Swansea have shown that the gaps probably not as big as it used to be.

I always think of Bobby Stokes when someone mentions the word "Southampton". Bless him.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

Quite an achievement from them & also from Fat Sam to keep West Ham out of the top two. I thought they would be nailed on.

With Lambert, they have someone who will score goals. A lot like Grant Holt with Norwich.

I'm from Southampton, you'd think they just won the Champions League! I fully expect there to be an open top bus (no joke).

And why not?! Fair play to them. I don't have a soft spot for em, but I don't hate em. Once got to a game so late it was half time at St Mary's. We were 3-0 down by then I think.
So yeah, in fact, screw em. I hope the bus gets a blown tyre and half the players fall off it.

Had some good memories of Southampton at Maine Road...The 2-1 win when Gio scored that wonder goal and i think they got a 3-3 or 4-4 in another.
Congrats. Welcome back.

Southhampton brings back memories. Great to have them back!
On another related issue, doesn't Mcdermot and Adkins look and act quite withdrawn and quiet and actually, well... nerdy? Is this the new style of english managers?
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"
"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

IIRC Lambert and Holt used to play in the same Rochdale team at one time.

I could be wrong but I think Holt had gone to Shrews before Alfie was signed. Craig Dawson is a Rochdale lad as well and is now in the first team at WBA. The Hillcroft years of 2007-2011 will be remembered as Dale's golden era. There's no doubt about that.
Chris O'Grady (Sheffield Wed) and David Perkins (Barnsley) have also gone on to bigger and better things, as has Pat McCourt.

I can very much see them having a similar season to Swansea or Norwich. They seem to play good football so good luck to them.

Fucking Hate Southampton. Not because of Alan Ball, not because of Craig David but because of the 2 Southampton cunts who chose to rub it in on the day we got relegated. On that fateful Sunday I was surrounded by sympathetic fans of all kinds. Except for those 2 cunts who sang "were going down to play Ipswich Town with the Citeh Citeh" And "If you want to make that shirt look official you better get the name off the back of it mate, they dont have that in the Endsleigh League" Couldnt even have my cheese and tomato sandwich in peace.
Fuck em. Hope they go straight back down.

That just lacks class. You can get away with cheese and cucumber but not tomato.

Cheeky Fucker.
I dont frequent pubs that offer cucumber. Perhaps the brown relish and mayonnaise?
I prefer Mustard.

Mayonnaise is ok, especially with tuna on a panini. Kicks the crap out of a prawn sandwich that's for sure.
