Spurs have sold Bassong today also, the excesses of Harry being shed pretty quickly. Surprised AVB didn't fancy Dawson, was he not club captain?

word is he's too slow for AVB's liking. not as good as agger but i'd have him at city as backup - english and PL proven.

Seriously back up CB.He's no better than Kolo, if we are going to buy a CB it should be to provide competition for a starting spot not just back-up.
Although I would not be averse to a straight swap for Savic.

We'd be lucky is Rochdale take Savic off our hands.

Hmm, seems like he's getting rid of the (albeit average) defenders & keeping the blokes who think they can play football.

Dawson is not what we want. he fearlessly heads whats in front of him but is easily by passed down the sides and can't play it out of defence on the ground. but he is what QPR need, someone who attacks the ball. However, the Taffia's coaching will soon reduce him to indecision..

If he's sold Dawson for being too slow, whats Gallas? AVB struggled at Chelsea because he wanted them to play a higher back line and the defense resisted. I can't count the number of times I saw England's Brave and Loyal John Terry on his arse spread eagle in the first half of last season.

England international for £5.5M...I can think of one we could get.

Afraid England international means about as much as Australian international these days.

The only way this is being considered I think is for homegrown quota, I'd rather give Savic the chance to come good, and I have absolutely 0% faith in that happening.

Caulker is hardly a sprinter. Seems strange to me that Spurs are letting Bassong and Dawson go. Only time will tell for them

He's a 28 year old crock, no thanks. More great business by Levy if he gets £9 million from QPR.

Dawson is and always has been average top flight centerback. Good in the air and shows great commitment and has constant lapses of concentration and is pretty slow. I can't see how he would've been coveted by club like ours. And it's laughable to use Savic as any sort of measure for anything. Two wrongs (well one wrong and one complete disaster) don't make right.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?
