sorry for encroaching the honour of starting a matchday thread, I see it's still missing and felt the need to open up a great day of football, long awaited after the useless break:

12:45 Tottenham v Chelsea White Hart Lane
15:00 Fulham v Aston Villa Craven Cottage
15:00 Liverpool v Reading Anfield
15:00 Dirty Scums v Stoke the Swamp
15:00 Swansea v Wigan Liberty Stadium
15:00 West Brom v Man City The Hawthorns
15:00 West Ham v South'n Upton Park
17:30 Norwich v Arsenal Carrow Road

Sunday 21 October 2012

13:30 Sunderland v Newcastle Stadium of Light
16:00 QPR v Everton Loftus Road Stadium

I am buzzed and very positive for good fun either from WHL and the Hawthorns... hope Pulis can play some trick there as well (less confident, tho)

Definately want a Spurs win today, somebody has got to stop Chelsea running away with it.

I can also see the Rags getting a comfortable victory against Stoke. I note that Anthony Taylor is refereeing them at the Swamp, twice in a very short period. I still remember him from late on last year when he helped United to pull the goal difference back at Wolves. Wolves may have been shite but some of his decisions that day definately influenced the outcome.

I have a bad feeling about today's games. Spurs will bottle it again in a big game, Stoke (perhaps a bit surprisingly) is one of the most pathetic visitors when they travel to face any of the big boys, prime example when they came to Eastlands last xmas. And Norwich has been shambles all of the season, I can see Arsenal coming away with big win today

Quality strike by Cahill there, Chelsea 1 up!

Edit: and the most important, today ain't gonna be easy and I can see a 1 all draw today. God how I wish we somehow get an early goal!

Spuds are bottling it already. This could be 0-4. Chelsea are in complete control.

Bale and Dembele both out. I'd call that remarkably good.luck for Chelsea.

Spurs are getting hammered in midfield and are being forced to try and smash 30 yard balls into Defoe. It doesn't look good.

Chelsea, looking very very good. Bummer.

Both sides look absolutely fucking dreadful to me. The number of unforced errors, bad ball control, clueless defensive mistakes & ridiculously optimistic attempts at impossible forward passes reminds me of England v Poland.

What does Kyle Walker actually do? For the life of me I cannot understand how he gets in the England team before Micah. Yes, he's got some pace but that's about it. He looks good against the average sides but when he comes up against anybody of quality he is found wanting. He couldn't even take on the San Marino defence.

I posted that approx 30 mins in. It's only the last 15 when Spurs have come back into a little that Chelsea are looking hurried. I've noticed that Chelsea like to get the goal and then force the oppo to come on to them, then pick them off with fast counter-attacking football. No different to today.

I wonder if Ade will get a run-out, AVB said he's definately in his plans.

I'm fucked if I know.

He's yet another of those media hyped players who will probably disappear into obscurity in the next few years when people realise his true level (unless Harry or Ferguson sign him).

Was just about to mention him. He's a bit shit, isn't he. If he doesn't have a gaping hole in front of him he can run into, he's absolutely useless. No skill on the ball whatsoever, terrible crossing. Clueless athlete.

not that Micah lack it, btw... I lost all the respect I long had for Woi since his Three Lions appointment. the RB choice are ludicrous behiond reasoning.

can we hope for Adebayor to put Luiz under pressure in the 2nd?

Or now that Redknapp has gone maybe the whole Spurs hype will fall by the wayside?

Spurs seem less than average without the threat of Bale and Lennon does nothing for himself running into dead ends. Gallas looks shot and I've not seen their midfield do anything of note; apart from lose the ball, that is.

I'm hoping for Spurs to get something out of this, but I just can't see how.
