We need a top class centrehalf, someone to properly partner Kompany. Lescott, Nastasic, Boyata, Demichelis and urgh, Garcia are just second(99th rate in Garcia's case) rate defenders. If we manage to sign someone really world class, I would keep Nastasic and Boyata, along with using Micah at centrehalf if needed. Send Lescott, Demichelis and Garcia to the glue factory.
Okay, we can't do this till January and maybe our season is fucked by that point, but our leadership seem very calculated and I am sure we're working towards this already.

I agree ...
But am I the only one who is still annoyed with Demechelis signing ... I mean it just feels just like Fellaini to Scum. He was playing for the same manager before the manager *should* have known everything there was about him, not just how he is as a player but the inner price and salary etc, the works ... and if then the manager wanted him, why didn't he sign him when he was available for cheaper (in our case, fucking free) but wait for later and then end up paying over the top extra for it ...
Won't mind the story drawing another parallel if Fellaini gets injured now, lol.

As an emergency back up I have to agree provided he has been training since his release. At least Gallas used to have pace and can operate at acceptable level.
One big question, why didn't we just let Boyta go if Pellegrini isn't going to trust him even in a situation like this?

Demechelis was a stop-gap that's panned out about as well Posh Spice's solo career, so we are left in the lurch. Lescott and Nastasic are both soooo left footed it means one of them is playing on the wrong side, though Im still sure Joleon and Matija are our best options given their experience in the position.
Gallas? Nope. There's a reason he doesn't have a club at the moment. Garcia? Nope, he's versatile as he can look slow and uncomfortable on the ball both in midfield and at the back; Boyata just isn't the required class to be a Premier League centre half so the alternatives are Micah (if fit) or even Rodwell or Ya Ya.
Given the utter shambles we witnessed at Cardiff, and the subpar showing against Hull, I fear we will sleepwalk into another defeat at the weekend unless we fookin man up, show up, and the management recognise that away games in the Prem Lge are in fact difficult, especially when you defend set pieces worse than my sons under 8's team.
