Postby Nigels Tackle » Wed Dec 04, 2013 2:13 pm

i know slim wants 'more effort' but these simple match ***official*** threads seem to be doing the trick when it comes to results - plain old 'city' seem to win compared to 'super city' who lost against sunderland and the 'mighty blues' who snatched defeat from the jaws of victory at villa park. the chelsea defeat is all beefy's fault.
anyway, onto tonight's action...
got a good feeling about this one...
won't be easy, but confident that we'll come away from this must win game with all 3 points
1-3 with yaya rediscovering he's goal scoring touch
come on city!

I hope Sergio regains his finishing touch. I am getting very concerned about this barren spell that he is having.

Would love to be a fly on the wall in the baggies changing room today, how will they come out at us - attack or pile behind the ball and catch us on the break?

Defence needs to be solid and we need our midfield to cover them, that's for certain. As mentioned in the other thread I hope Milner starts today, preferably in the centre but envisage he'll be on the right with Nasri at the left. Is today going to be the return of Vinnie and do we wrap him in cotton wool or let him get the game time he probably needs?

Tight one on the cards, I cant help but think we'll get a draw here 1-1 maybe - I am hoping for a 1-2 to us though with Kun and Nasri getting the goals.

I would normally be going to this game, have a lot of friends down there who go and would dive into the Crick for a jar beforehand, however I cant this time so anyone know any Joan Rivers and could pass em would be a great help. Thanks xx

Would like to see Rodwell come on, Lescott to come on for Vinne after 45/50 mins and if we are up by a few then Guidetti to come on.

As I said on the other thread Jesus is a nailed on, old fashioned, 22-carat, Peter Barnes-style homer.

Milner please!

Sergio for a hatrick, because he screwed my FFT by not scoring, but I have faith.

I like Milners enthusiasm and work rate but really do not think he is in the same bracket as Jesus. His touch at times can be awful. Use Jesus' pace to come out the blocks quick, get a couple of goals and then we can bring Milner on to protect our lead.

On the contrary, I think Milner's touch and range of passing is excellent, plus he links up with Zab very well down the right, better than Navas does. I would start Milner tonight.

Lescott and Kompany must be paired together tonight. As our defence has been a shambles so often this season, we need to get back to our strongest line up. Demichelis has been useful during our injury crisis, but he has the ability to turn into a headless chicken every now and then so he should be on the bench tonight.

Saying all of that, I expect Lescott to be dropped as usual, with Demichelis starting, and a place to be found for Garcia somewhere in midfield. Pellegrini hasn't shown this season that he can learn from his mistakes yet, I hope he does tonight.

If Pellers is true to form he'll want Lescott on the left of the CB pair whether it be MD or Vinnie who starts.

I will apologise right now for City's performance as my away record is NOT great!

Last season
West Ham 0-0
Swansea 0-0
FA Cup final 0-1

Thats a hell of a lot of miles to see 1 goal and we didnt even score it! Sooooooo, SORRY!

I have a feeling Pellegrini will not go with 2 up top from the start tonight based on the problems we have had away from home so far.Negredo to be left out and Milner to start and thus Nasri given a freer attacking role behind Aguero. We have to win this one.

Finally Kompany is back . I forget the feeling of him be back and a lot more security . Hope this pause did not have big impact on him.
You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.
