The bit where this gets ridiculous is that back when the scum played Cardiff, rooney lashed out at a Cardiff player. Ref sees it and awards a yellow.
Yaya does kick out but with nowhere near the same ferocity and he is likely to get a 3 game ban, becasue ref didn't see it on the day.
I think had John Moss (?) seen the incident he would've given a yellow, but these retrospective cards only seem to be red.
When the FA ask the refs to review it they are basically saying 'Are you really going to allow that sort of challenge to go unpunished?'

When the so called 'new' system was announced on here. I mentioned this very scenario in that thread.

It gives the 'powers that be' an opportunity to let their favourites get away with bad offences of this nature & then punish us for a lesser offence.

If they choose to prove me right, we should not accept it. If the rules are to be applied fairly, they apply to everyone. This was not a 'serious foul play' incident, like some which Rooney, Suarez, Gerrard etc have got away with. It was a bit of a gesture, & a lot of playacting nothing more. Anyone in doubt of that, only needs to see the player jump up, annoyed, when questioned.

This incident should be ignored by the FA. If it isn't, then the ref should say it was a 'yellow' & nothing more.

If our player gets banned because of this, when others are let off for elbows in the face, over the ball tackles & deliberate stamping, then it is wrong & we should take legal action, because the application of the rule is wrong & deserves to be challenged.

Bad laws should be thrown out & replaced by good ones, not blindly adhered to

There are literally hundreds of violent incidents which have gone unpunished & scores each season. This season, we have seen lots of occasions where stuff has happened, nasty, vicious stuff, & on some occasions the FA have just said they won't bother with it, simple as that.

The media, have pointed out this incident. It's not a 'biggie' compared to others which have gone before. If the FA decide to make an example of Yaya, we shouldn't accept it. It should be changed at the end of the season anyway & either punish all incidents or none.

Id agree but Hamann and Match of the Day went out of there way to talk it up. I thought it only a yellow at worst but given the profile its got and our luck, Id guarantee he gets charged for it, as will Bellamy who's blatant elbow was far worse.

It's not a cae of 'he did worse', it's a case of 'he did worse & the FA CHOSE to let it go'.

Which club keeps getting 'done' after the event, even when the rules don't actualy allow for it ? How many times has the ref 'seen it' when Rooney etc do it & suddenly mysteriously not seen it when it's us, or even if he did see it, the FA decide that, on this occasion, it was so bad they'll fuck the rules off & do us anyway ?
