whats all the crazy money about?

Chelsea have reportedly just turned down a £75m bid for Oscar!

Why aren't they coming for yaya for £50m?

Can they pay us 40 mil for Yaya? For 10 more we can put Nasri in too.

Actually, Nasri would seem more likely to be sold there than Yaya (too old).

Unlike previous exotic pretenders (MLS, Qatar...), Chinese clubs are targetting players still in their prime (or thereabouts), as well as the best performers and talents from South American leagues, including Brazil, directly. It's not just marquee signings either, they are raising the quality of the league all around. And they are also not just overspending on foreigners, as average Chinese defenders are going for eight figure sums, which reminds me a bit of the Premier League in relation to other European leagues.

They are loaded and if they start investing long-term in youth development and infrastructure, this could be a bit of a game changer.

Just read somewhere that the Asian Champions League winner, Guangzhou Evergrande, were fined a small fee, like below 100k, because the Asian Football Federation found out they filmed the trainings of the final opponents.

Some spy hightech shit.

A lot of money invested there, but they lack a lot of football years behind them. Same as Qatar.

The word I hear is there hasn't been an honest Chinese championship in nearly twenty years. If this is true, I think they'd be better off spending the money on stopping match-fixing. They were just starting to get somewhere (qualified for the world cup etc) about 15 years ago when that shit ruined everything.

If Pep doesn't want Nasri China is a likely place for him to go.

Yaya has already been linked to a move down there.

Jo is heading down there if today's reports are to be believed.

Liverpool target from shaktar has gone there today, Brazilian called tiexeria or summat like that (not to be confused with the youngster they've had for a couple of years, who played the other night)

Oh and we've just announced we're down there for a pre season tournament...

they are doing a great job of weeding out mercenaries. no self respecting player in their prime would go there.

nailed on that yaya will head down there for a final pay day. kolo will no doubt follow as well.

To be fair to Lineker, his little lad had leukaemia and Japan was (and still is) way ahead when it comes to cancer treatment.

I think the football in Japan is way different as the one in China.

Try to look how many youths from Japan are signed in Germany. They have a very solid football system, or so it seems from the outside. I think the only problem is that the national team doesn't play that many real international games.

On the other side, I remember filth had a player from China, while we had the legendary Sun. But after them is really hard to name a really good player.

lets just hope they come back with 30m for Yaya next summer instead of Inter trying to pay some bullshit like 8m over 10 years or something.
