All the best Gaz Baz. Read earlier that he shares the record with Rooney for most yellow cards. The only two players to have over 100

My best moment, when he ‘Bummed’ Ivanovic on the halfway line. Said it all.

Wish him nothing but the best. Still think we let him go a couple of years too soon, especially with the flops we bought to play defensive mid after him.

We messed up Mase, if that was parity he would have signed Mate. We bought how many to replace him. Silly.

Barry was class for us one of my fave players. Rodri is like a slower shiter version of him. Peak gaz would be amazing in this team for his tactical fouls and handballs.
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,
feed the goat and he will score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved de Jong mate. But I don’t think he suited what the owners were going for. He broke a few legs and fly kicked someone whilst playing for Holland. Plus I think we romanticise how good he was. His passes for a long while were always backwards or sideways. It was only the season we won the league he decided to go forward.

Like I say, I love him and I do think sometimes we miss that kind of player when the going gets tough.

Couldnt believe it when he went to Everton, on deadline day I think it was. I thought it was crazy at the time. A very intelligent footballer, excellent at reading the game and always in the right position.

We definitely look at De Jong through rose tinted glasses. He offered nothing going forward, not a patch on Fernandinho in that position and I'd put him behind Rodri for creativity.
When we won the league in 2012 after Tevez returned we played a settled team of Tevez and Serg up front with Gaz Baz, Yaya, Silva and Nasri in midfield. It was De Jong who lost his place. Ideal guy to bring on when we were protecting a lead.
Barry did a great job for us but i think it was the right time to go, Fern was the perfect replacement. Fernando on the other hand!!!!

He was a great signing, solid out for us.

If he’d had a bit of pace he’d have been some player.

Really nice guy, I was at Loftus Road in 2011, got given corporate tickets from a supplier, the way out after the game went passed the away teams dressing room.

Gaz Baz came out and we had a chat and my missus took a photo of us just Ballotelli wondered out, he stopped to allow the photo be taken then just trundled on by.

More than decent player. Lack of pace meant he wasn’t elevated higher but for us he did a great job. Very good appearance record which will take some beating

Class player. Couldn’t believe our luck when we signed him to be honest.

Didn’t we sign Tevez around the same time? Him and Barry were great business. Seems like an age ago now
