When he does finally catch the play up he doesn't affect anything. He doesn't close down and he can't tackle so I'd like to ask Pep what footballing attributes, defensive or otherwise, he feels that Mendy offers the team.

When was the last time he genuinely had a good game? Is it his fault or peps? Surely pep has got to shoulder a lot of blame. How many of our losses last season did he start, i think its a big percentage from memory.

We could have picked up a freebie in the summer to buy us a year thats infinitely better than mendy, any of bertrand/rose/van aanholt would do a better job for a year.

It’s infuriating. Id rather we didnt bother with kane, kept the likes of bernardo and jesus and got an actual left back in.

Id have zinchenko/ake/laporte/cancelo at left back all before Mendy, i honestly thought last year we would never see him in a city shirt again. Then towards the end I thought we were playing him in the duds to give him a shot at another club. Now i dont have a clue what the hell we are doing!
