Silva & Kompany Statues

Anyone seen the abomination that is being classed as a tribute to Dave in the leaked pics on Twitter?

I'm hoping it is a picture from when it was far from finshed.

Was going to put up a thread about this.
There's something slightly amiss about statues for lads in their 30s.
Let's just say Vinny comes back as our manager, makes a bollocks out of it. What do we do with the statue then?
Hypothetical speaking we could end up with a statue of an unsuccessful manager

It still wouldn't detract from his achievements as our captain on the pitch though.

There is an article about the sculptor on the club website and just looked at his other work online and it all looks very impressive - so probably just a case of shit leaked pictures not doing the final product justice (I hope!!)

I like them both especially Silva’s which I can only describe as majestic. Brings tears to my eyes just watching them.

Majestic , just like both players and will be finished off with Sergio.

Add in Tevez , Dzeko , Ballotelli , Yaya , Lescott , Clichy , Hart , De-Jong , Joe , Nasri and Zabs.

Never better?

Me too. I can see both the humility and pride within them, unlike some of those bronzed shite we’ve seen recently. Fits in with our fine chequered past as well.

I’m not one for this kind of stuff but do think these have been done in a tasteful manner.

Same exact reaction....weird.

I love em, if anyone can get a picture of them I'd like to see a shot looking up at them, I think the viewing angle will really make an impact.
