Barcelona Friendly

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Barcelona Friendly

Postby Indianablue » Sat Aug 20, 2022 8:20 am

Can someone explain why we are playing a friendly against Barcelona mid week away? Do we need to get players match fit ? I can't see the logic and entertain complaints that our players are being flogged to the point of exhaustion by too many fixtures and listen to some managers advocating xancellation of League Cup and seeding of FA Cup and the annual winter break suggestion. All at a time when we can now use 5 fucking subs

I think we're trying to foster a relationship with a club who could become a powerful ally

The same club that tried to bribe Uefa into charging us. It’s embarrassing from us to be honest.

It certainly all looks strange from the outside but I have no doubt that mansour and khaldoon have a play here.

They're not going to sit back and watch the last few years unfold with the only reason given being that the Spanish lads want to look after barca.

They're not stupid

I assume it will be minutes for players who have had any all season? Likes of kalvin phillips and john stones barely kicked a ball in a game since may so it might have its advantages.

Barcelona isnt far away prob as quick to fly there as it is to train it to places in the UK.
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,
feed the goat and he will score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

perhaps he will buy up half of Barcelona - the City , not the team, like he is doing in Manchester - just to help them out

We should be doing everything in our power to lowers Barcelona's profile not raise it, this club and the other "Cabal" clubs tried and keep trying to effectively kill us.

We should IMHO be telling them to fuck off.

For our three guys it is beyond football imo, it is a Catalan national pride thing. It is not even helping, it is a civil duty.
