Thankfully all that transfer bollocks is done and dusted. Lets get back to some meaningful chat. Having watched Bobb as a starter this season could he not play in the old David Silve role. Great control, passing in tight spots, a few goals. Not a winger in my eyes and not particularly quick reminds me of Silve in so many ways.

He could but he's the type of winger that Pep likes. Namely an inability to take the ball past the full-back and put in a decent cross for our striker to get on the end of.
Question marks for me about his stature at the moment. I have seen him knocked off the ball too many times to put him in the Silva position just yet.

I've seen some brilliance, but at the moment Pep likes him more than I do!
Nothing like David Silva - he had wing mirrors

Ok agree regarding wing capability. Just feel he is so good in tight spaces would be better in and around the box.

Whilst Bobb is a good talent I rather suspect he won't be good enough to nail down one position as his own.
I don't think he has the pace to be a top class winger and though his close ball is excellent I don't think he has the strength to play as Silva did.
And he appears to be from the same mould as Stones. Made of glass

I would have loaned him out and kept Echeverri.

I believe his future is in a more central role, but he's not ready for it yet. Don't forget that both Silva and Nasri played a lot out on the wing in their first seasons as well.

Pep seems to have a habit of wasting people out wide.

Would be great with an overlapping Micah or Zabaleta. That was such a lethal weapon with Silva stepping inside and threading the ball through to the right back.

Just wasting people would have sufficed

Jury still out for me.
The injury changed him from academy prospect to young Pele somehow. I want to see goals and assists and taking a game by the scruff before I bank on us being contenders with him playing every week.
Long way to go.

We've had 3 games. He got a fantastic assist against Wolves where he ran half the length of the pitch and played the perfectly weighted ball to Reijnders.
He was denied a definite penalty against Tottenham.
If he stays fit there’s going to be a lot of assists and hopefully more goals like the last second winner at Newcastle that very few players could have scored

Drink this in—I agree with you !!
If we're going to whinge when a skillful player loses the ball, then we should just sign players who play one-dimensional football.
Georgie Kinkladze lost the ball numerous times, but we all played pocket billiards when he had the fucking ball!
Bobb is a rarity: so skillful with very quick feet. If you want to fuck up his talent and get him to play safe football, then don't whine when we have boring games to watch.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"
