The problem with us blues now is we don't have enough to genuinely fucking complain about. Fourth in the table, scoring goals, team full of world class players- everything's rosy in the garden but we need to moan don't we. We need a fucking scapegoat at all times, even if that has to be a lad who's just stared death in the face and watch three of his pals succumb to it.

We used to have class.

OMG Ade wearing an old arsenal top. What a disgrace!

I mean surely with all the money he's on he could afford this seasons one. lol.

Seriously are people really pissed off at this. I dunno about you but i tend to chuck something on without thinking somedays, i'm guessing Ade has done the same on this day. No way he did it to piss us off. A bit silly given who he plays for but i'm guessing he hasn't really had time to update his wardrobe in africa.

Forget about it fellas, it's utterly stupid to get all angry over this.

FFS chaps lets get this in perspective.....it is not the end of the world, neither does it make us laughing stock. The guy could have easily died last week and is probably still not 100% with it.

Instead of whinging like fuckin children think about his situation before typing shite.....not the best choice of shirt but one thing is for sure.....

somethings are more important than football....like what ADE went through on Friday!!!

See, the problem with this thread is that it has turned into a "If you care about the shirt you don't care about the tragedy" which is farcical.

I care about what happened to Ade... AND I'm bemused that he ended up wearing an Arsenal Football Club jersey on global TV.

You can be both you know. Those of us who think it was a fuckup aren't evil and heartless. It WAS a fuckup, and if you're not allowed point that out because a tragedy happened previously, then you're masking your point of view.

Its not nearly as important as people dying and to my knowledge, nobody in this thread said it was.

So for all the people who keep posting with the "Earth Song" playing in the background, calling for perspective - please consider for one second that some of us a pointing out a fuck up. No more.

I'm still delighted he's alive, I'm still delighted we are the richest club in the world, in fourth place, within touching distance of our rivals (Arsenal included) and that the future is rosey.

This was a minor fuck up in the grander scheme of things, as was Elano bitching to the press, as was Garry Cook on a couple of occassions, but it was a fuck up all the same.

Don't worry OD mate, I get you. You'd rather Ade died than wear that shirt! It's OK mate, it's all about opinion ;-)

OMSF,
Original Dud - I will ask again, how is it a cockup? Do you think we should have a PR person with all our players wherever they go? Do you really think PR is more important than PTSD? You are a fool. And you have proven many times that you wouldn't know a false prophet if one hit you in the face.

Its not about having a PR man there, its about common sense. I seem to recall rooney getting a bollocking from nike for getting snapped in adidas trainers. Its a little unprofessional, but as has been said prob got more important things on his mind at the mo.

Original DUD? Really?? Oh dear... sad little man

If a player wears a rival jersey it is a fuck up, no matter whose fuck up it is. If you think its normal then ok, the argument is over.

Now once again you're intimating that because I believe it to be a fuck up that I don't care about the welfare of Ade. The two are not connected. I care about the bloke. Maybe the reason there was a fuck up was because his head is messed up. So there could be a good reason for the fuck up, but it was a fuck up and that's all I said to begin with.

Our silly name slinging is what made the thread seem hysterical. But I'm sure at this stage you actually read what I originally said and perhaps you might go someway in redeeming yourself from that nasty joke about him being shot by admitting you had a big part to play in the hysteria.

Oh and did I point out that you called me Original DUD??

How old are you?

Mate, if he was wearing it at Carrington I'd be questioning the club's professionalism. He wasn't and as you say this isn't a time for the player to be thinking of such things as "branding."
