This won't end 11 v 11 and i hope it's not us that loses our cool.

cheers

it won't end 2-0 either. we better get the initiative back.

agreed. We had a nice counter a few mins ago, but we need the next goal and we need to calm down.

Silva looking for retribution for being knocked around by Barton. I like that attitude from him, but we don't need cards to start flying around.

cheers

If we can get a third, the game will open up even more IMO, as the Mags will pile forward in an effort to get back. But we have to get that third...

Brilliant first half, fantastic first ten minutes but they are playing us a good game. Entertaining football all round, just need to cut them off at the right wing.

Despite 2-0 up it's not been a great half. I think Newcastle surprised us with their intensity ans tempo, and as usual we struggle when our opponent put pressure on us high up the pitch. The last 15 have been better, though. we've started keeping the ball within the team and passing it around better.

Barry's been immense. He's really been more de Jong/like than de Jong, and his aerial presence in our penalty area has been very important.

Etherington's apparently come up with a miss as good as Tevez's vs Sunderland.

Mancini needs to dry hump some folks in the dressing room at HT. That wasn't an impressive last 40 minutes of the half. For as packed as our midfield is, we're on the back foot and someone needs to get the ball, keep possession and make something out of it. We're giving them too much space and too much right of passage on the left side. Is Kolarov pushing forward too often maybe? Silva is slotting back in to try and cover, but it's not working...something has to give there. Though i will say that Silva has looked good putting his foot in and being fearless. I love that guy.

All in all it's hard to bitch, but i just did...so there.

cheers

Delighted with the score and the application of the players but we aren't passing (retaining) the ball well enough.

I'd also consider bringing Balotelli on to give us an option of a ball over the top, which would stop them condensing the game so much.

Decent half, need to stop giving the ball away needlessly though and Boetang needs to stop running out of position. Barton is a little turd.

By the way. Wouldn't it be really fucking uncomfortable to pay with a pacifier under your shin-pad? Goal celebrations of today make me want to stop watching completely at times.
