Trippier to Burnley.....season long loan alongside Ben Mee

Burnley have been shopping at Manchester City again and this time returned with 20-year-old full back Kieran Tripper.

Eddie Howe has moved swiftly to plug the gap left by the expected departure of Tyrone Mears and landed Tripper who has played in the Championship during two loan spells with Barnsley.

Trippier, who is still to make the breakthrough at City, has also been capped by England at every level from under-18 to under-21.

He's played against Burnley twice, featuring at right back in both of Barnsley's games against us last season. and he now joins the Clarets, and fellow City player Ben Mee, on a season long loan.

The Bury born Trippier will feature tonight against Oldham.

Rumours of Weiss of to burnley as well. The lads will never make the grade for us but I think it's smart to have them playing together. it can only increase their value if they have success together.

Related: can you name one academy lad from the fa youth cup winning team that will have a future with us? Seems like none and I was pretty excited at the time that the kids were having a nice run.

Bolton sign Reo-Coker on 2 year deal. Not too many years back, this would have been considered a good signing for us. Thank the lord for Sheik Mansour.

Not too long ago Reo-Coker was also hailed as the future of English football. I never understood why, though.
However, I agree, thank god for the Sheik.
