Be a good point if it was right. Subjectively it feels like it should be but here are the facts 12 games into the last 3 seasons (and don't forget this year would be even better if they hadn't met us and got battered):

1011 W9 D2 L1 F29 A12 PTS29
0910 W6 D6 L0 F24 A13 PTS24
0809 W8 D1 L3 F23 A12 PTS25

Just read that. Means nothing. The opposition at OT has been mainly in disarray apart from us. They have been very very very lucky to face Spurs, Arse & Chelski all at home, early doors, when they were missing players/in a mess. The away games have been mainly v shite apart from scousers & Stoke (who are also struggling) where they drew. They were shite vc Sunderland, outplayed by Norwich who but for terrible finishing would have beaten them. Everton have been struggling badly at home & they are probably lucky to have played them early too as they usually get better. Add to that their favourable Chump's Lg draw, compared to ours & yet they've struggled there too.

The have had a really helpful fixture list so far but if some of those teams get their shit together, they may not find the away games so easy.

There home victories last year were West Ham, Wolves, Newcastle (the old one) and Scouse. Big deal?
This year they've entertained and beaten Arse, Chelski and Spurs (as well as Swansea and Norwich)
At this stage they had won only one game away from the swamp, this time 3

I guess it was a wake up call if you were say catching 40 winks and someone goes and starts pulling all your teeth out one by one - yes you would wake up.

A better way of describing it would be my worst day in football for 40 years - oh yes you did say that - but no one keeps repeating that

Perhaps the most accurate way of describing it was that you got owned

Whatever - if this was a wake up call why on earth did you look half asleep at newly promoted Swansea when you managed to scrape past them 0-1 and they missed two sitters

OWNED thats what you were

I think he has wiped his thoughts of that day away, It never happened policy. I only hope we build on that this weekend and send out another message and do the dippers, no blips and red tops jumping about as though we are imploding.

Well I reckon it's touching cloth time for Fergie.

He knew they got lucky again at Swansea and again on tuesday. He knows that going to Basel for the CL last game is going to be a problem. Basel are not a great team , but they can still spring a surprise.

So on to Saturday, when Newcastle will want to have a go. I think Newcastle are more than capable of making a game of it.

If the 1-6 was a wake up call , it didn't really have much effect. I don't think Newcastle will be afraid of them.

Quite frankly from our recent half performances and one glaring non-performance, I think it's us that needs a wakeup call.

I know we've been winning most matches and that masks performances, but we really haven't played well for a while now. As well as we can I mean. Hopefully Napoli can be our wake up call.

How do you know how shite I think they are ? You are the one calling them shite. I said they're not as good as last season or the season before & have been in decline & need to sign some players. You are bullshitting them up for some reason, yet the majority of their their supporters you read or hear agree with me.

You have seen them play haven't you ? Do you think they looked especially good v Swansea ? How about v Sunderland or Norwich, surely they were convincing & turned in a sterling performance v those two; like vintage was it: ghosts of Ca***n & K***e majestically striding oveer the turf & setting the 'Theatre Of Dreams' alight ? Just like the old days was it; no different ? No ? V City then ? No ?

Then what the fuck are you arguing about & why ? They're not as good end of. If they come out on top it's because the rest of us aren't good enough. It doesn't matter what your list says, show it to Rag Hater, he may think it's worth reading.

Were they really better this time last year, conceding 9 to Fulham Bolton West Brom and Everton and failing to beat any of them.

You're expressing an opinion. It's not borne out by the facts.
