Wow! I am seriously impressed.

Oh bugger.

Oh well. It was fun for a second. But if England can play like this in the summer, they might be worth watching.

Great game!

Robben has been deadly all night. Bet Chelsea wish they still had him. Can anyone remember why he ended up leaving? Pastures new or out of favour? Seems like a lifetime ago.

Kuyt has impressed as well.

Even with his goal..Young is the worst player on the pitch.

Glad to hear it, my in-laws are American.

Dempsey (and Donovan) seem to get a lot of big goals for the States.

Was away in Italy too, without Donavon. Not a bad result at all

Agreed. Game changed when Barry went off and without him covering it allowed them to walk through the CB pairing. Holland got a little cocky against a team selection that they probably thought was a piss-take and got their just desserts. Pity we left ourselves open, that wouldn't ave happened under [strike]Mancini[/strike]Capello.

Good game from most of our players. Joe will have lost a bit of Hart though.

Belting strike. Spain are finally waking up to the fact that they have the next best thing to Messi on their hands.

I think they always knew, it was just a matter of time for it to come to fruition.

How the fuck did he stay on ?

I totally agree with that formation but the players used were wrong. However, England are not awash with talent so it's not easy to pick an 11.

When that useless old bag of shit Gerrard went off though, Pearce split up the two players who know that system & were creating ALL the England attacks: AJ & Micah. Apart from one run & cross, Sturridge did nothing out wide & he failed to combine with Micah at all. Meanwhile AJ is stuck in a position he never plays & the totally Shite Ashley Young is given the freedom of the pitch, which he uses to set up a goal for them. In fact I think I'll go on record in the Pearce thread.

Every fucking one of those rags picked today could be left out of the squad btw, & the standard would improve. They are not good enough; none of them. Only Rooney should get in.

I thought he was dogshit but don't forget Dunc's Stephen Jordan impersonation.

When Robben got a shot off v Micah, everyone slaughtered him & they showed it over & over, explaining how he should of done better. He never got past Micha in the match. Against all the other cunts, he was like Dad playing against the kids, just running past as if they weren't there. Hardly a fucking word from the commentators.

And what about Jones? The way you fail to mention him makes me think he wasn't on the pitch. The reality is he actually helped the oppo out, so he was a force in the game.

Micah did a superb job and was arguably our most attacking player. Ran his bollocks off and was all over the pitch.

I'd forgotten about Duncan but then apart from his assist he was forgettable. And people are talking of smalling/jones as being the future CB pairing for England. So long as they're equally bad for the swine I'm havin' that all day long.
