I've never seen the problem with our country being led by someone whose had a decent education. We all seem to get po faced about well qualified people at the top in society. Well not me. You tell me how you'd feel if john Prescott was the surgeon doing the appendix operation on your kid?!

Does education qualify you to lead a country, would you really want Boris?

Education is needed to do any job properly or at the very least training. Experience is part of education. Great medical degree but no experience and that dentist aint coming close to my mouth with his drill.

Boris doesnt clown he uses humour and quite effectively having met him he's a thoughtful hardworking passionate bloke IMHO. Our political system encourages professional politicians to become MPs. I'm against it but if we are to have them then I'd like them to be able to demonstrate that they've got a good mind and a first class degree from the best university in the country does just that.

The real clown was Livingstone with his chippy attitude and insistence on saying things like "the prophet mohammud peace be upon him" and calling a Jewish journalist a nazi prison guard. Boris is running London on a type ship AND he has fucked off those bendy buses!

So all in all YES you do need a good education to run the country.

As in interesting footnote the only PM we've had who didn't have a vg education was Churchill. Whilst we all agree he was a great orator and was def the man for the job when adolf came knocking he was crap at peace time leadership which is why Attlee was elected in 45. Sadly we all seem to get excited about good looks nowadays. That all started off with that villain JFK in the USA and the power of tv over those people who think with their arses. Nixon is now viewed as the villain by society and jFK as a sainted fallen hero but it was Nixon who pulled them out of Vietnam and Kennedy and LBJ who were bombing the far east shitless. The USA dropped more kilos of TNT on Vietnam than all of the sides in WW2 dropped on each other collectively.

So we have to choose between Boris Johnson & Ken Livingstone for Prime Minister ?

What about Harry ?

Are we any good at anything else left in the Olympics btw, or is that likely to be it for gold medals ?

I would say we're as good as nailed on for the hockey gold and apparently we have the two favourites(male and female) in the BMX. When did that become a sport? What's next marbles and red rover, remote control cars and pulling girls hair? Actually I'd pay to see red rover in the olympics, we used to hammer the hell out of each other in that.

Which part of Osbourne's history degree left him 'educated' enough to ru(i)n our economy?

Yeah, Harrow, 8th in his class (out of 150) in Sandhurst, total shite. He wasn't good at maths but he was an exceptional writer

He's perhaps thinking of John Major. Didn't he run away from the circus to become an accountant?
