Mario has been fouled a few times but he has also been one of their best defenders. I keep hearing about Edin's first touch but Mario's there with him.

Happy to be ahead in a poor game. Delighted for Micah (so far) and nothing to do for Joe.Long may that continue as I want a clean sheet more than I want a great performance.

We have been a bit sloppy at times, but are well on top. A second goal would be great as I think the flood gates might open if we do.
I think the most important thing though is keeping the clean sheet. This will provide the team with a confidence boost.

Got to be happy with that so far. It's been a lot of graft and no real incisive play but at least we've had most of the possession and seem assured at the back.

Milner and Barry have made a lot of difference to our midfield, just having numbers in there has made us look far better.

Glad Bob understood!
the 2 former Villans on holding position provide a perfect platform for an excellent pressing game: Jimmy Jaws provides dynamis and his game intelligence and passing are those of a proper miedfielder. this set up might even offer option to rest Yaya, with Tevez/Aguero Silva Nasri as the 3 behind the main stiker.

Early goals always help, as I keep saying - WELL BEFORE the difensive lapses - the main City problem in the becoming of a dominant squad is the finishing accuracy. I just wonder what we would have seen on wednsedays if Nasri or Servi had buried one of those early chances before the clock turned in double figures.

Think our Teddy is glad of this pressing game... ,)

Gardner well blessed to be on the pitch yet!

an early second, please: no mercy Lads!!!

Bit of poor game tbh, but there was a good bit of determined play by City before the break. This kind of commitment is what it is about and is definately a reaction to Mancini statement of just being good is not enough. The set up and the play is what was required, so my guess is that Mancini was both criticising himself and the players the other day post Dortmund. If so that is good and the way it should be.

Balos gotta come off. He is offering nothing for us.
And it's games like this that make me question Barry...he needs to pass better.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

This happens every game we are playing at home, since QPR.

First half, we miss every single chance and the opponents hardly leave their own half. He have 1-0.

Then the second half they come with courage because we failed to score and they equalise.
