I'd just like to add that, although I was absolutely gutted we didn't sign Hazard, I'm now glad we didn't, as irrespective of this incident; he's a cunt.

Nor is he particularly good. With all the hype I expected at least 4 goals every match.

That's because he has signed for the wrong club & is playing in a vastly inferior team, under vastly inferior managers.

If he was playing for us he wouldn't be two down from the first leg and chasing the game.

I would like to put things into perspective;

The ball "boy" is 17 and Hazard is only 22, therefore it is not a grown man having a go at a child as suggested by many, it is two young lads, also the ball boy is old enough to drive, vote and fight for his country, therefore he is not a young naive child, he is a young man who knew exactly what he was doing. If that was my son he'd have got a proper kicking when he got home for being such a twunt.

If that had been at Old Trafford and it was a 17 year old ball boy wasting time I can almost guarantee that there would have been a queue of people on here wanting to give him a kicking.

Only read the first page however from 1 angle the ball shoots out straight after hazard (quite rightly) sticks the foot in.

Secondly as shown after the match swansea ball boys were at it a lot.

Thirdly it shows their small team/club/lower league mentality that they have to shake off. They were winning!!!

Fourthly I would have twated the little shit it`s bad enough keepers walking across a 6 yard box to take a goal kick.

Fifthly I hope every club do it to them for the rest of the season.

Picking sides? What the fuck is this, a game of cowboys and indians?

If Hazard had kicked the ball out from under a Swansea player like that what would be the result?

Hazard kicked the bellboy for keeping the ball, Torres would have missed him, Cole would have shot him and Terry well he would probably of shagged him!

As usual this gets blown up into something that its not. As someone that has played football at a decent level I would have been fuming if I was playing in a major football match and some little shit pulled a stunt like that.

The lad was out of order and is another example of all that is wrong with the beautiful game. Why cant we just be rid of all forms of cheating and wining at all costs. Just give the fooking ball back. I mean did I see the kid roll around like he was shot and then wave am imaginary card towards the ref or was the me imaging that??

That's brilliant. Going to steal that for Facebook.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I think the entire situation is really funny and I like it when stuff like this happens. Professional sports are too robotic as it is. I don't understand why we should interpret this situation as a sign of something bigger or why anyone would be interested in siding with one of the culprits. It's just a comic moment between two idiots. Football is not important enough for not having a laugh at this.
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Midfielder Claims Hazard Didn't Kick Ball Boy Hard Enough

By Chandrashekar Srinivasan: Subscribe to Chandrashekar's RSS feed

January 24, 2013 9:32 AM GMT

Disgraced QPR midfielder Joey Barton has weighed in on the incident involving Chelsea forward Eden Hazard and a ball boy at Swansea City's Liberty Stadium last night.

Chelsea were in Wales on Wednesday evening to play the second leg of the Capital One Cup semi-final, trailing 2-0 from the first leg in London.

Barton, who is on loan to French club Olympique Marseille, tweeted the following:

"After reviewing last night's footage, I've come to the conclusion that the game has gone. Ball boys aged 17, time wasting, then rolling around like... they've been shot. Game has gone. He was actually claiming to be the best time waster in the world on twitter yesterday!"

The 30-year-old Barton also called for Swansea City to be punished and claimed that Hazard didn't kick the ball boy "hard enough".

"Swansea should face punishment also in my eyes. Hazard will be vilified for his overreaction. Hazard only crime is he hasn't kicked him hard enough..." Barton tweeted.

Barton's comments are unlikely to be well received, given his own disciplinary record. The midfielder was involved in an episode of violence and ill-temper against his old club Manchester City on the final day of last season, and was subsequently banned for 12 games by the FA.

The incident involving 22-year-old Belgian international Hazard and the 17-year-old ball boy (now identified as Charlie Morgan, son of Martin Morgan, owner of Morgan hotels and a major stakeholder in the Welsh club) occurred late in the second half.

The ball boy appeared to fall on the ball as it ran out of play, and refused to relinquish it, prompting Hazard to wrestle him and aim a kick into his ribs.

Hazard, who was given an immediate red card by referee Chris Foy, apologised for his actions when Morgan visited the Chelsea dressing room after the game.

In the run-up to last night's match, Morgan appeared to suggest he would attempt to waste time should Chelsea begin putting pressure on his team. He tweeted: "The king of all ball boys is back making his final appearance. #timewasting."
