They chose city because it was the best deal for them for whatever reason. And this has been happening for years.

Putting a rag slant on it should be left up to the media and baconface.

I'm not sure what the fuck happened with Mancini this season, but it was us who were favourites for every honour over the rags.

I think rvp got either more money, a gaurantee of more playing time or both.

You don't turn down the champions and the favourites for all the honours for some sort of boybood dream. That story is a load of bollox.

you are right and it ain't over yet.

united are chasing three trophies. i don't think madrid will let rip van tosser have so much protection.

I hope madrid tear them a new arsehole. I'm not a big believer in the whole european "distraction". I think results are contagious and if the rags get past madrid they will just grow even more in confidence.

I'm amazed at how that team has performed at such a high level all season and they have yet to have their wobble. I hope it starts tomorrow night.

Purely in financial terms I want them to lose, let alone anything else. In the long run that's what'll hurt them most.

Don't know how often but Arsenal did it in the 2001/2002 season. It was part of the 14 win streak that is a PL record.

oh give up, if Mancini really wants someone he wont waste his time with these people he'll go to the top and get him. DdR didn't want to come here. Bergistain and soriano are here for the joyride like Marwood.

well OD that's what's baffling us all . United aren't playing well but they are getting results by hook or by crook. i don't expect european refs to cut 'em any slack though like in the PL.

the future is young players that is why the Barca guys are here, not meaning to patronise you but do some background on Bergistan, No chance would he DDR be on his radar, and that message would have been to Mancini. The DNA of the Catalans is not the same as the manager, that is where the power is as of their arrival, all change on the purchase front. As for Joyride the two guys are established as top of the tree when it comes to European football, we are very lucky to have them.

They may give Bob or A.N. Other a bit of leeway for the next few years whilst the academy comes to fruition though.

I expect the accent to be on youth & on promoting a few players to the 1st tean squad but it's likely there will be a period where one method gradually changes into the other rather than a 100% sudden change of policy.

The idea that the Spanish guys have just been brought in for a jolly (presumably along with the £150 mil we are spending on the academy) is one of the more comical notions I've read on here for a while though.

don't worry, i don't think for one minute you would be patronising. However, i also don't think these guys will sign up any better youth either. what they do bring to the table is that they have been working in successful environments at clubs regularly competing at the highest CL level. Perhaps they know how to get those sponsorship deals maximised? are these guys all over europe looking at todays youngsters ? i doubt it very much they are.

More likely that they know how the evil little gnome from Zūrich works (Seppi baby) and Plastic Bertrand in Genolier , the snake oil salesman, with family working for PSG.

Sorry to just quote part of your post Ted but I do take exception to some Rag twat talking Bollox and then used on here as some sort of bastion of fair minded debate. I'd give that record to the Rags themselves when they lost the title to Arsenal back in 2003-04 (ish). I'm sure they finished about 15 points off the leader and actually finished 3rd.

There's a long way to go yet and we could be worse off than them back then but at this time, he's talking Bollox. Rag Cunt.

I think as a blue and a Socio they are in and will run us in a similar way to Barca marquee shirt seller and method from youth to 1st team something the manager will hate. It is longish term but will bare fruits. Maybe Pep will do 2 at Bayern and be in as we get to the base camp.

yeah , just imagine duncan edwards man marking Falcao out of the Derby match !

That's what he does you know. Rattus Rattus said so last night and even the beeb quoted him, saying how duncan can man mark the lady boy of Madrid tomorrow night.

Can't wait for tomorrows game to see Duncan play lady boy the way he played Fellaini out of the game.

i want to see that Quasimodo-esque look of horror captured in full HD on his face as (the fake) Ronaldo leaves him trailing in the dirt to score Real's second goal. I REALLY hope they play the 'dream team' double of England's-Best-Defender and Cleverley in central midfield.

Guys i m watching Michu for longer period now , the way he play and all, what do u think abaut buying him ? He could play in tika taka tactic , yes Swensea play with wingers also but Michu looks great like deep playing striker and i think he would not be so expensive . We will probably sell Edin in summer , already there is in my country talk that hes going in Dortmund( Lewandowski is going to Bayern) and inter wants him to, but i think he will choose Germany , offer by few sources 19 millions pounds. So we will have no tall players and we need to have one at list and i like Michu .
You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.

I think Michu would be a good shout for next season. He can operate as a deep lying striker/attacking midfielder or a centre forward and being good in the air as well as a clinical finisher would give us different options up front. Don't think we would have to break the bank to sign him either. Proven goalscorer in the Premier League also makes him a much less risky signing than a striker from abroad

I like him but he'd be dearer than you think, having just signed a new deal at Swansea. I'd have him at 15 but fear he'd cost closer to 25.

Seeing him in the flesh earlier this season, his movement was completely leaving our cbs for dead on almost every attack & had Swansea had a final ball to match, they would have chewed us up.

So many players have one good season though.
