It's going to be an exciting summer. Wowoweeewow.
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Just been skulking around on RAG cafe for a laugh (I have washed).

The general reaction is pasted here:

Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck.

Good riddence!

Means they might get a decent turn out for their parade this time. Wonder if the police would mind if there was a load of blues in party hats eating jelly at the side of the route?

Douglas Higginbottom wrote:IF he goes now whoever takes over from him will keep them challenging for trophies so it's our job, along with Chelsea and maybe Spurs/Arsenal to make sure they fail.

Even though they will still challenge though it will be very hard for them.SAF will be a very very hard act to follow and he may turn out to be a one off but with the money they have, the players they have and the position they are currently in I can't see them falling away instantly.

Absolutely this, with a tad of more positive faith for the future.
It's certainly our and Chelsea job to push it the hardest as possible and make sure they will be struggling every season more to cope with the increasing overload of interests on the debt.

Yes, Gollum won't find it as hard as Taggart did, because they are now well established in the dominant seat of the Footballing System and the role of the Ol' Flask on the Board will be that to ensure the relationships shall keep flowing, but we are still in the raising curve, and granted we may finally get what missing in the summer, we will become even harder to be kept at bay. And so will be Chelsea with Moaninho, at least the next 2-3 season.

If the competitors are gonna do their job properly, the myth of the Rags is doomed to fade in 3 seasons, imo. Which obviously doesn't mean they are becoming a midtable force, but a bunch of Wengeresque deluded bitters.

In the long run I think it'll mean they may not be so dominant, especially with us now in the picture, but in the short-term, I think they'll take Mourinho. Although it's unlikely he'll be there for more than a few years, he will ensure they maintain their challenge for trophies. The only potential spark though is having Taggart as a director - as long as Taggart is at the club, any manager will be living in his shadow, and that would irritate Mourinho.

Today is a fine, fine day :-)

With him moving up in the Director's box and no doubt being featured on TV at some point during every match when they concede or even lose I can only hope for a Busby MKII type situation developing over there with the fans wanting him back and not supporting the new manager.

He's only done this so that their 'parade' will have a few more bodies now it's a farewell party. It may even get 1-deep in places this year.
Whoever comes in, there is absolutely no chance they'll get the same out of that shower of crap that the poisonous one does. And rags all over the world will now be 'considering their positions'.

@Ed_Miliband Proud man. Great manager. Staunch Labour Party supporter. Sir Alex Ferguson will never be forgotten

Ooh, good point. Hope Moyes gets the job, then. I can see that kind of situation arising with them if he's manager rather than Mourinho.

Football is in remission.

That should always be celebrated. But the cancer isn't gone yet.

I think it will all depend on how they begin the season.
Get a couple of draws or losses, the new guy and squad will be really tested.
They do have a decent squad, but without 'him' to motivate them, I just don't see them as strong. Top 4 team still, but not a champion team.

It'll take time to sink to their real level. Barca took a season.
