The club do seem to be a bunch of fucking faggots when it comes to buying players these days.

It would be daft to get involved in a bidding war with FFP fucking everything up but we seem to just get brushed aside by everyone and are the only ones playing by the rules. Hazard and the rapist last year. Supposedly isco and Cavani this year.

ffs the club has never confirmed we were in for cavani. he was mancini target but is he a pellegrino target? who knows.

that said, i would love to sign him.

Don't think it matters if hes a Pellegrini target tbh.. Fernandinho and Navas were negotiated during Mancinis reign. This new system takes away the spending from the 'coach' instead we buy players that not only improve our squad but are also commercially viable. Or at least I think thats the plan. Its all holistic anyway

Well actually we do have limits on what we can spend. Firstly, our owners do not want to keep spending unlimited sums forever. Secondly, with FFP coming in, the club is clearly trying to abide by the rules as much as possible, so we have to reduce our losses.

Therefore, we don't necessarily have the money.

Our owners will support us as much as possible, but they are trying to increase our revenue through commercial ventures, to support high wages and transfer fees for top players.

It's not as simple as you make it out to be, and writing things like you have makes us sound very arrogant.

I think it's frustration rather than arrogance. We all want him (well almost all) and after missing out on a few key transfers last season, I think people are nervous of it happening again.

Inspired double whammy. You've annihilated Doomy and, in a show of "get fucked" defiance, used a comma incorrectly.

All of the crappy papers are reporting that Cavani has issued a come and get me plea to Chelsea.
What the fuck! Why?

I'm not sure it's wise letting this guy go.

Not sure about that, we wanted both Falcao and Cavani, we appear to have lost both, adding more MF players I dont see that is being an area we are weak in. If its goal we want then go and get Gomez he scores for fun

Then why did we splash out 34m on Fernandinho?

And we seem to be the only club in the world who actually gives a fuck about FFPR....

Shakhtar confirmed it on their website.

This is the Official Press office of the club publishing this figure.

If the figure wasn't correct we wouldn't have allowed them to publish or leave it on their website's news section.

Soriano has already said we were never looking at Falcao. He said the same about Neymar too. So that's 2 £50m+ players we ruled ourselves out of.

With our increasing number of sponsorship deals, plus the new TV deal kicking in this year, we definitely have money to spend. But I imagine it would include 1 or 2 players leaving as well to help finance the transfer fees. The club is looking to finance itself as quickly as possible, Khaldoon has said that many times, and not rely on the Sheikh's personal finances if it can help it.

R. Madrid have said Neymar was not on the list, we were Brazil trying to hijack the deal, teams say all sorts when a player decides against joining you, I am making the point we are 2nd tier to some players and agents, so the deal has to be better than say Bayern, Barca, RM, Add this to PSG and Monaco who are laughing at FFP regs.

We have our own valuations on players & we have a policy of not giving agents 'bungs' etc. We have been operating like that for several years.

Sometimes the conditions bend in our favour & we get our man, sometimes we don't.

It was the same in the last transfer window & it was the same when we signed Yaya & Nasri & Milner.

Silva went through dead easily & we had him signed months before it was announced, but think back, it took ages for the other deals to go through & Yaya's agent has hated us ever since because we didn't cave in to his demands. Milner started the season at Villa, Nasri at Arsenal, then the conditions changed.

If the Sheikh suddenly decides he wants to chuck 50 odd million at Napoli, then he'll phone up Txiki & we'll sign Cavani, but otherwise we will continue to operate as we have on ALL the other deals, exactly as Marwood was slagged off for.

If the conditions suit us, we get Cavani, if they don't, then we don't get Cavani.
