Nah that was a fake. Look at the collar, the dark blue is a lot wider/further apart at the front than on the proper one.

NO BLUE SHORTS - The Mirror reports on a story regarding a protest poll against the new Manchester City first team kit for the coming season. Being a bit of a traditionalist, I rather support the idea that we should retain our Sky Blue and White colours which has been part and parcel of manchester City's history since the year dot.
It's one thing to use the annual change of style and fashion for the various kits for 'Home' and 'Away etc. as a money making scam to exhort more money from gullible supporters each year, but on principle, a stand should be made to conserve our identity regardless of the wishes of our owners and their sponsorship
I don't care what shirts the supporters wear because I'm strictly a scarf and hat man, but I believe our team should represent City in it's traditional colours

Bloody hell, we won the title just 2 seasons ago in blue shorts, it's not like it's an alien colour to us.

I prefer us in white shorts but don't feel the need to throw a hissy fit if we switch to blue now and again.

How are people still fussed over the colour of the shorts. As long as there's a pot on the sideboard and/or we've been royally entertained, what does it really matter in the scheme of things?

I'm liking it more and more. I still miss the Le coq but this is better than last season. I agree with the badge comments.

Le coq. The only time we had 3 different strips in 3 different materials that all fit differently. Those were the days.

Did you complain about if for the 10 years it was used in the 70's - 80's?

Exactly. I have every home shirt since '93 when I first started going properly, and last season's was my least favourite, both to look at and to wear. My body was sweating in anticipation of wearing it.

Christ that 3rd kit is awful. The sponsors image looks like someone has hooked an elephant seal.

Aye me too, as always it's never as bad as it first seems once the proper images are released.

Actually quite like that away shirt. One of the better Nike efforts.

With a blue home shirt and a blue away shirt our third kit may get a bit of a workout this season.

Bear in mind that these are professionally-taken images to make the top look its very, very best, with some possible post-photography editing (ie photoshopped).

Let's face it - if it were the Rags who were forced to wear this, there'd be a 3-page thread on here mocking it.

I really like the away shirt, but I even liked the first leaked pics of it.
