You should ALWAYS get different quotes for projects.
They do that all year round.
If they have decided what they are doing then they won't change their minds because someone they don't want becomes available.
I wouldn't believe any denials from City which the press are referring to though. They want to finish top 3, so they don't want to undermine the manager during this period.
They would deny it even if he was already signed.
