Enjoyed that a lot.

Second half fizzled out, but enough to get excited about. Joe Hart should be pleased with himself.

We definitely need a midfield general though. No doubt about that

Very pleased to see the young lads scoring their penalties. Cool under pressure.

Horsfield had a much better game all round than Barker. Fair play to him. He is usually one of the worst players in the EDS squad & Barker one of the best imo.

Surprisingly good match that, lots to take from it.

One subtle thing to note, for all the changes... no Dzeko and Jovetic again... times nearly up for them i reckon.

Post match interview Hart is a classy cunt.

Said he's a massive cricket fan which we all knew but it just struck me that he has a body built for a century doesn't he? I bet he could fucking wallop it. Did I dream he had a legit shot as a cricketer but chose footy?

Cheers

Was there a reason he came on instead of Maffeo? I didnt think Sagna was up to much 1st half, Maffeo wouldnt of done any worse and offered us more going forward...
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,
feed the goat and he will score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Left arm quick bowler who they recon would have made it at least at county level.

So is my amateur cricket analysis poor in that a big strapping cunt is better suited to bowl perhaps than bat? Or am I looking for trends that don't exist in the game?

Enjoyed that. How good is David Silva! He basically ran the show in the first half with everyone else playing off him. We had a decent shape in the first half as well. Clearly Sterling is going to be a top player for us. Thought Fernando had a decent game too and Kompany is looking much more like the player we know. Didint' think much of Caballero's attempt to save that shot either. Don't care whet the commentators said I thought he should have saved it and I reckon Joe would have.

As soon as they made all the changes i thought our balance was all wrong. Yaya in the key sitting position just doesn't work for me. Iheanacho took his goal well and did enough to show why he is so highly rated but he has to beware of coming deep and giving the ball away. Barker I thought was overawed more than knackered. The odd decent moment and I thought he kept a defensive position quite well but he did nothing like we know he is capable of.

Navas again workmanlike but the end product missing again. Lopes a few decent moments on the ball but just isn't involved enough for me when in central midfield. Loved Denayer. So good and calm on the ball I reckon Pellegrini won't find it easy to pick his best pairing. Horsfield did ok but just isn't a candidate for a first team full back position.

For me one of the big learning things for the young ones is how senior players use their body strength to win balls, hold off players and especially how they cheat. Many a time someone would just get the body in the right position and then go down and get a cheating foul because they were under some pressure.

Pleased we won and pleased for Joe
