I just can't see why fern2 and kola-2 played there, surely the two young lads should be given as much time as possible. Hopefully they will get the next 45 mins.
Such a waste.

Ten minutes he loses his man and they nearly score. Top defending.

Positives at half time:
- Nolito looks a good player. Always attacking and had a good touch.
- Finally we have a manager who plays Sterling on the right! Great delivery for Aguero. Hope Pep can get the best out of Sterling.

Negatives:
- The defence is awful. Truly awful. Very worrying to be going into the new season with the defence still in disarray.

Why exactly? Tosin is one for the future and Denayer is one for Galatasaray.

We're pressing up top far more effectively than last season. Sergio and Silva really putting in a shift. I can't imagine Kolarov and Fernando will start as centre backs against Sunderland. More likely Tosin and Denayer but thats a very young scratch partnership. We need Stones as others have said. Worried at the moment that we'll ship a goal or two by silly mistakes at the back caused by trying too hard to play it out from the back by players not really comfortable doing it. Stones can.

Genuinely surprised that Kolarov not subbed for Tosin. Hart for Willy was a no brainer but we haven't got a keeper who can play the way Pep wants. Rulli in?
