This will be sorted but it is going to take some time , the tactics yesterday were bad and he will learn.

Serious question......in what areas have we addressed our squad deficiencies?

Wrote a long reply but it bored me when j read it back. In a nutshell, he's being arrogant and stubborn.

We were effectively 2 at the back for the first 20 minutes, against a team that likes to break, with pace. We all saw it in the first minute. His subsequent formation changes and substitutions were verging on the ridiculous. You're a genius when you do weird stuff and it works. It's not working, and you don't really have any excuses mate.

Hopefully he'll either start to fucking adapt his thinking, or prove he was right all along. Starting to think he'll do neither.

Einstein never said or wrote that quote. It's been falsely attributed to him. He did say "Pep's clearly got problems" though.

So if the answer is to sack Pep, then who comes in? Surely this project is founded on Pep arriving? He's now here & it's hit a sticky patch - what now? Genuinely I don't know other than to stick.

For those calling for Maffeo & Angelino as the answers to our prayers, Maffeo worried me against the rags as he was puffing & panting by the end not something I expect to see from an athlete & Angelino has never really convinced me defensively

The defensive players are not Pep's choices aside from Stones and Bravo.
He will have his choices bought by next season.

In the meantime, he is not willing to change his style even though the defensive players are not good enough for it.

So I expect more defensive horror shows but we should be ok for top 4.

Very true, but as always, as the definition has never been properly verified, he can have it. On Pep, it was 'He's clearly lost it, 3 at the back? He's gone mad', or words to that effect ;-)

Spurs were the same under Poch, they had all sorts of Centre backs until he got old vera in and they are the best now, one or two players and we will be fine, I do see we need back up as well

It's all about getting the right players for the system, not shoehorning the system into the players. I have no doubt that some of this issue will be rectified in January but with limitations on spend, availability and wages, we are not going to see the end product this season.

Our defensive system is getting weaker by the game and is proved from when we started screwing around with the original system that won us 10 on the bounce, to the current one which has left us in disarray.

Pep has to (!) adopt a system that suits our current defence, otherwise the attacking ability is meaningless.

The expectation is high, probably high among the owners as well to be fair.
We know he needs new players. But there are some things that he is shooting himself in the foot over, why so who knows. I like the man but most fans feel that some of his recent decisions regarding selection, formation and tactics have been somewhat baffling and confusing. Yes there are clear squad deficiencies but cant help feeling that currently he is not making the best of what he has at his disposal. As mentioned Nolito is a prime example, using Sterling on the left etc etc.

He's definitely making mistakes, no doubt about it.

And he definitely needs upgrades on three or four positions.

He's not learning from the same mistakes though mate. Either that or he's just too arrogant to change.

Fools! Anyone thinking Pep should be sacked this early are just plain fools. Yes the team are now having issues it is all plain to see. Just because the team started off so well people forget the project this Club is trying to complete. Nobody had a problem with beating Barcelona did they. Peps tactics no doubt but once again the hacky sack players are jumping out of their seats, play like England 4 4 2 they are winning everything. Shut the hell up and let this great shit unfold. In PeP I Trust.

After our latest debacle and our current recent record it is a valid suggestion for debate.

I wouldn't favour it myself, but I wouldn't say people who did were 'fools'. They might say that Barcelona were missing Piquet and Iniesta and had a Sunday league player at right back?.

Let's not also forget our 'project' effectively started with Mancini's title.
