Totally agree with this, which is why I thought we would revert to 4-3-3 today.

A bit harsh mate.

We could have 2 goals easily already.

Brighton are double parking the bus and I question that they can hold on the entire game. They pose zero threat and our defence has handled any of their counter attack attempts.

We will bring on Sterling and/or Sane in the 2nd half. Last season when we proposed the same idea it was Navas. That's a big difference in quality off the bench.

We also have Bernardo and Yaya. What a bench.

Did I just see our goalkeeper making a save? Times they are changing.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Really? Opposite was always what I thought.

It really isn't 5 defenders, it's 3 as the wingbacks are pushing up.

I don't class walker and Danilo as upgrades on sane and Sterling personally.
Tracking back is overrated.

We have played possession football....nothing else...no urgency..............we should have had sane on from the start.

First half following same pattern as last season. Lots of possession with few clear chances.

This match is crying out for Sane and Sterling.

Shit the fuck up, that was the most interesting part of the half. How many managers get that shot, from bottom to top?

Why do we have player of Sane's calibre at the bench?
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Bit poor really. Sane should be on asap to ads some directness. Who cares if we concede some possession. This is going nowhere fast.

Like watching us last year again.
Very uninspiring. We look very nervy and over anxious in the passing.

As has been said, don't know if Brigjton will get away with this for a full game and we have plenty of options to change things.

We'll judge this one over the 90 minutes.

Just get the job done City.

Hah...sure, but they provide better defensive cover and are a huge upgrade that allow us to play this formation due to their pace and skills compared to Clichy/Zaba/Kola/Sagna or even Navas last season.

We saw Sane as a wing back and he's not really suited for it it seems.

I get your point, but they are in midfield or attack more than anything else.

If we had Sterling and Sane out there instead we could be more exposed. Pep will make appropriate changes as the game goes on and their defenders tire.

On the missed Jesus header chance, Aguero's cross was quite good I must say.
