Or, inform everyone that we value him at 40 million and he will not go for anything less. They have all done it to us. Time to turn those tables. Especially if Napoli try and get him, which has also been speculated.

Confused by valuations we paid £30 or 34 mill for a top player in Fernadinio.

Pauhlinio is 4yrs Younger way ahead of him in the Brasil pecking order scores a shit load of goals £17 mill, why ?

I have no idea on Fernandinho because a few years ago we broke the British transfer record with £32.5M and now a player at the age of 28 with no more than a handful of caps for a weak Brazilian team cost us £30M.

I dont believe we paid more than about 24m.

It's a valid question tho some said we overpaid.

Paulinho to me is less certain to excel in the prem stylistically as well.

Berbatoss cost the rags more than Robinho cost us. We never broke the British transfer record. It was just a nice way of the media to play on the "look at little old City" to sell more papers. When Berbatoss first went to them he was around £35 million (if you remember we pushed the price up of him) but after Robinho sign it got lower to £30 million. Wankers.

We signed Robinho before they signed Berbatov, even if what you say is true, we still broke the record.

We signed Robinho the very very very last minute of the 2008 transfer window. They signed Berbatov just before.

And the quoted figure for Berbatov was about £200k lower than Robinho

Berbatoss was never a British transfer record

Have you not read what I wrote above?

PS. It's been 'quoted' Maicon is on £100k a week....

And this has been quoted and that has been quoted and I am sure with the financial transparency we have right now that if it was lower than the quoted price someone would have said something.

This is mental.. going to be a very tough year if we go with the papers

Rags:
Rooney stays
Thiago in- most likely
Ronaldo- almost certainly bullshit

Chelsea:
Schurrle (great signing)
De rossi- strong rumours
suarez- maybe
alonso- maybe
cavani- heavily linked
Mourinho- on his own would make them a lot stronger

City:
Navas- good (not great) signing in an area we really needed
Fernandinho- no idea, but im with those that think we probably overaid for this guy and more obvious targets available (paulinho/de rossi if rumours are true)

Negredo- a very decent 'B' signing
Osvaldo- another project

Tevez: Best offensive player of last season gone
