Alexis/Alexi Sanchez

I think Sterling would absolutely smash it as the striker in a 4-3-3. I thought he did very well in the derby and I'm positive he would be scoring plenty against lesser opposition. His runs are just so clever.

My attitude to Alexis all along has been that he is a very good player who Pep seems to want.
If we get him at a less than extortionate price, well and good.
However Arsenal behaved like Arseholes in August. I don’t think we should entertain them as far as negotiations are concerned.

An ultimatum from us would be more fitting. Take it or leave it. Get nothing for him in June if you act like pricks again.

No we don‘t!

We are scoring goals from all over the park.

If anything, the out and out striker role is diminished in this team and the way we play.

I’d regard the striker roll as a rolling one between the front three.
As such we only have a choice of four to choose from, maybe five if you count Bernardo, but he’s not really there yet.

I think we need another striker, but with luck we could have the personnel to improvise. Not an ideal way to deal with the schedule though given our ambitions.

While we are fighting on all fronts the striker that should've been here for the start of the season, to enhance our forward line, would be more than welcome now.

Gaining momentum .

"Manchester City have almost found an agreement with Arsenal for forward Alexis Sanchez, reports Chilean journalist Maks Cardenas.

City have made a bid of £20million to Arsenal for Sanchez, but the Gunners are holding out for their £35million valuation. Sanchez was controversially dropped from their FA Cup squad today in fear he would become cup-tied and decrease further in value.

To counter that argument, Sanchez could have been left out by Arsene Wenger with one eye on the club’s Carabao Cup semi-final clash with Chelsea on Wednesday. Nonetheless, City were reported to have submitted a bid for Sanchez this weekend, according to Simon Mullock.

An agreement between the two clubs is believed to be closer than ever with a compromise is expected to be reached between the two clubs this month, as Arsenal want to obtain a fee for Sanchez who is a free agent in six months time.

City are willing to wait until June to sign Sanchez, but Gabriel Jesus’ injury has seemingly changed the club’s plans to strengthen in forward areas this January.

City are aiming to compete for four trophies this season, and Sanchez is still eligible to play in the Champions League and FA Cup."

A possibility of a decent number of puns there JC, particularly allied with the name Shane Burns.

However, At-a-cama point in time, I'd very much like to know how much we'll actually end up paying for him ??

How the fuck are Arsenal almost getting a decent bid from us?

Chelsea managed to get 15 mil for Barkley. We should do the same here.

I’ve said it before, he’s in the “I’m not saying it’ll be 100% done but they have asked about him” so he can always get around his bullshit.

Won't accept £20m? How does £19m sound then? Next week it'll be £18m and in the summer you'll get nothing you tossers.

Looks like some sort of deal will be done. And a superb addition he will be as we enter the business stage of the season. I know some don't want him but I can't understand that. He will be absolutely great for us.
