I love Johnson already, he does all the things I wish Robinho had done.... such as run at defenders at full speed and either get past them of force them to foul you.... or whip in crosses with either foot.... or track back and help defend.

Vieira should come off and either Ireland or SWP should come on... SWP imho and then stick him on the right wing and Johnson on the left.

By the way... are Gareth Barry and Adam Johnson Vampires??? They're so fucking pale it's scary!

It's 54 actually. I know you shouldn't slate a player after two halfs played but Vieira looks slow and unmobile. We need pace and deliverence.
CTID!!

No you shouldn't slate him but i'd expect a professional footballer to be able to control the fucking ball!!!

I'm loving young Johnson, was great in his sub appearance and I was hoping he would start tonight.

i'm not sure Vieira, De Jong and Barry understand their roles, in fact neither do I. Why Tevez on the left and the natural left footer on the right, that said its 1-0, but would prefer some action, its very boring to watch, we must have only had one or two efforts on target.

Performance is largely disappointing again, think this must be the italian way.

Bring on SWP.

Very impressed with him, much like Giggs.

Except he can cross

you've missed the last few derby games then?

Only took him 20 years to get it right ;)

imo Vieira is not an issue.. he moved forward after 10 mins or so and we immediately looked weaker at distrubuting the ball out. In general he has helped the team hold a position higher up the pitch, so for me he is crucial to us holding that stance. as i say that he looked more controlling from a just a wee bit deeper. He seems to have more composure on the ball and as result makes them back off.
I suspect that Mancini signalled for Vieira to move forward a bit after the opening few minutes to try and push Notlob deeper. It didn't quite work.. but im inclined to say that it is the other players around that cant quite do what he does..
ie. be prepared to gain a bit of space and then distribute sensibly but in a forward direction. Barry and Nige are just less accomplished at that.. they dont have that presence yet.

Johnson is a delight

We deserve to be 2 or 3 up if we could just get someone on the end of those balls coming into the box.

Johnson has been extremely impressive, Barry has been excellent aswell. Ade needs to stay more central his tendancy to float out to the right is annoying to say the least.

Come on lads lets have a few more second half and shut the gate on these cunts.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Rocky sodding off in the summer.

Anyone watching the halftime show about Klinsmann? Not great for an Englishman to say, but one of my favourite players ever.

Seems odd that we wouldn't have a striker on the bench.

Weren't we criticised for having 13 strikers on the books? Can't even put one on the bench tonight.

Probably SWP or Ireland are the options for livening up the attack, but we need to start moving the ball quicker from the back and with better options than Toure and Bridge looking for a 60 yard pass over the top.
