personally speaking seeing all the fans being squashed outside the turnstiles who were trying to get in, i would have walked away from the ground, as did some liverpol fans who have been on radio phone ins and said so it looked quite scary outside.

A panel with access to all known documentation on the matter (some of which hasn't been made public yet) disagrees with your opinion. You could always go and browse the documentation that they HAVE made public, something in excess of 25,000 documents totalling over 450000 pages of information, all painstakingly sifted through, and converted into digital format for your convenience. Once you've done that come back and tell us if you've changed your mind.

So, have you done this? I very much doubt it, yet you seem to think my opinion can be turned.I take it only those that have gone through the documents with a fine combe can comment on the matter? Im not defending the Police etc at all but stating that there is no way on earth the Liverpool fans are totally innocent in all of this. Something as simple as gettin to the ground 30 mins before kick-off and queueing at the turnstles in an orderly manner may have very much changed the outcome of things?.

I may not have read every document but I've read the report (and a few key documents). Opinions are like arseholes etc etc, I'm not too concerned whether it can be turned or not, Im just pointing out the flawed assumptions you are making based on outdated thinking and misinformation dating back to the aftermath and the police coverup.

The crowd DID build up from half two, and there's no way on earth to queue in an orderly fashion if you look at the geography of the Leppings Lane end and the narrow bridge that the fans were arriving over. In previous years the police had adopted a tactic (under the supervision of a vastly experienced FA cup-policing officer) of repeated ticket checks along the route to the ground to slow up the flow of fans, this didn't happen on the day of the disaster under the supervision of Duckenfield and is just one of a series of crucial fuck ups by the police.
The crowd behaved like a crowd, and just as it would have done if any other club had been in their position on the day. Entirely predictable and totally blame-free.

I really do think this is the case. Iv always respected the Munich stuff. Never sang it etc. But iv had enough of this now. Their fans misbehaved and they wheel this out to protect them. I'm disgusted with the MEN. They printed a pic of the air disaster and hillsborough . Instead of criticising what their fans did. We got ripped from pilar to post about singing a song with the word Munich in by that paper. Absolutely pathetic . Milking it

What amazes me most about this Hillsborough Report is that it seems so many have only taken a view of it since it was published. There are people who have literally held a certain stance on the tragedy and then changed it overnight, as this report was published. Haven't these people had enough time to form a reasonable assessment of what happened that day?

A report was written 20 odd years ago that stated that the fans were not the main instigators of this tragedy, the final report made way for sweeping reforms that the government wanted in place. Now the government sanction another report 23 years later that still tells us that the fans were still not the main instigators of this tragedy but everybody else made mistakes.

Oh, and David Cameron stated later that the 'Then Government' have no blame in what happened.
