The officials have been shocking. We wouldnt be happy if the two pens were given against us in similar circumstances.

There's been some shoddy decisions in the second half. Bring back Clattenburg.

second was a peno, harsh, but a peno.

refs have been very shocking though. Easy enough game to ease what's his face in, but he can't even take care of this one.

If only Sinclair had more playing time, he may have put those chances away

Tevez is looking top draw. Last few games he been a lil off the boil but his hunger is far more visible

The second was pretty clear cut. You cannot put the ball out for a corner with your forearm, even if it's not deliberate.

The first was farcical but it changed direction off Nastasic as Weimann was pulling his hand back. Probably deceived the linesman. Against the Rags it would have been a straight red as well.

It's the referee's first game in the PL, give the guy a fucking break. It's not his fault his linesman saw a hands where there wasn't one

Was this our best performance of the season? At 5-0 it's be easy to say so..but was it?

This is definitely Silva's best game this season, and not only because he scored. He looked lively and was making great passes. My MotM.

Aguero looked dangerous again in front of goal--something he hasn't been all season.

We didnt concede so our defense must be better, right? Well tbf, AV did nothing going forward. Their best chance was Benteke's header in the first half when Nasti got horribly beaten in the air. But, there were times where AV got on the break and our shape and our backtracking were great. It was a good defensive effort but we weren't tested.

All in all a great performance but the competition was shocking and we were given a helping hand from a shocking penalty decision. This is just what the squad and fans and Mancini needed.

Great day!

It's not just the penalty decision though - they gave a goal kick from a Guzan save, and a freekick to Villa when Barry was elbowed in the face.

a total of 23 shots (on and off target) compared to 10 for Villa. Pretty one sided. Too much fannying around with the ball still though.

was it his first game? Not that it matters, not like it was a massive occasion, a derby in the championship is a harder game to officiate than what we just saw. He's a professional and I'll judge him how I like at his profession.

Well you're poor at judging then. Agree to agree on that one.
