Well done mate. He made quite a few good runs in the derby and no fucler could be bothered passing to him. He can't do much if we don't give him the ball in those situations can he!!!

So we have a failed back heel, a pass and a couple of runs which either weren't spotted by his team mates or where so pointless, they didn't bother to pass the ball to him.

On the back of that, we should drop Aguero, Tevez and Dzeko and play him every week. Obviously not every week, as he'll have bans to serve, but the rest of the time he should definitely play. Apart from when he's allergic to the grass, but other than that, first name on the team sheet.

Probably the dumbest/most ignorant quote of the past 2.5 season on here.

you don't even bother reading people's full arguments and pick out one or 2 bits to have a go at through hyperbole alone ... congratulations, you are no longer relevant to this discussion.

Balo to start against Stoke and prove his worth. I love him as a player but he does need to start performing. Benteke looks good in a shit side, Guidetti would shine in a side in relegation battle.

by the way, bentenke is in no where near mario's current level ... and miles from mario's potential. There is not even a discussion to be had about it.

Not having that, the Villa lad ran his bollocks off last night something I have never seen Mario do for us. Benteke is gonna be a player.

Now whether you like Michael Owen or not, as a very successful and prolific striker in the modern game he's better qualified than most to comment on Benteke.

This is what he tweeted last night during the Villa v Bradford match

michael owen‏@themichaelowen

I'm seriously impressed with Benteke. What a player. Michu, Van Persie and Benteke are the signings of the season so far in my opinion.

Have you ever seen Owen on TV or heard him speak? I almost any random person off the street would have a more accurate/less twatish opinion.

have you ever heard of methodology? I can read that word, if nothing else.

but if you don't agree with someone, they are surely spouting shit, ignorant, talking a hefty load of bollox, should be ashamed of himself, an unbelievably thick/petulant child, talking complete shite, and is undoubtedly not a "supporter".

I'm surprised that no-one has "called them out" about that before.

But I'm glad you agree that you're not "100% correct".

s'a bit abusive innit?

Thats an absolutely hilarious response, funny as fook.

What if Messi doesn't say that (and to the best of my knowledge he hasn't) but Luke Chadwick does...who are you gonna believe

I have heard about methodology but don't really understand what you're going on about. What you responded with is not a counter-argument but a dumb attempt to nitpick at details. Can you understand that just because I think your wrong doesn't make me believe that I'm infallible?

If you don't like Mario, make a case with facts or reasoning rather than this stupid shite. Then again maybe all this has sometime to do with "methodology" and it's all flown over my head...

to be honest, michael owen's heading ability is about the same as benteke's was last night, only benteke is a foot taller or summat, so i'm not that surprised.....LOL

i've not seen a huge amount of benteke, but over the 2 carling cup games, i thought he was awful, clearly has some talent, but certainly not world class, or anywhere near it.

With all due mate your assertion that as a successful striker Tiny Tim is well placed to comment is pretty hilarious imo, especially considering you seem to be putting little credence in Mancini's opinion.

He can have the derby at OT and the FA semi as well.

It was sarcasm. And I did read the arguments that he made a few good runs in the derby, I just disagree with it.

No one gives him the ball as he'll:

a) fall over and then thump the ground
b) lose it
c) kick someone for no apparent reason

Most of the time, his runs are hopeless. They don't pull defenders away for other players, they don't make space for himself, they don't get him onto the shoulder of the last defender where he can use his pace. They're just random runs.

As I've asked elsewhere, would you want him to start? When you saw the starting 11 for the derby, were you glad he was playing? With Dzeko or Tevez or Aguero on the bench as well, would you want him to be the one who comes on instead? Against Arsenal, he would have been useful to offer an option up front, but with them down to 10, it would have been dry risky to bring him in with a ref probably looking to even things up.

http://www.ftbpro.com/posts/ian.stewart ... per-minute
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mario_Balo ... statistics

Other than being one of the top 10 of all time in the PL for goals/minute and off the top of my head; the winning goal vs Everton @ home when we couldn't get a breakthrough, won the penalty and scored the last second penalty vs spuds which got us the win, and scored 2 vs sunderland @ home to get us a draw. All of which we needed to win the league.

I stand by my comment that what you stated was probably the dumbest/most ignorant quote of the past 2.5 season on here. Actually, your post above mine might just challenge your earlier statement. Just come out and say that you hate the kid regardless of how he really performs.
