'Course your allowed to talk about it; but stop slagging each other off over it...

I'm going to put all my faith in Pellegrini, Txiki and Soriano; the latter two of our new holy trinity just so happened to turn Barcelona into the team we see today.

But they had Messi ffs !

We have Kolarov ffs!

Indeed they did & I for one am very happy about it, but you are not the referee on here & any attempt to become one, will only end in disappointment.

Cyber booking from referee Hughes there. Another one and you're off pal. Don't say you haven't been warned.

I wouldn't last five minutes as a ref, it would be like that Paddy Power advert where they'd have to have another ref to send off the ref.

You continually ignore that this thread was not NOT about who should be the 3rd striker. It was about people freaking out that we are fucked for selling Tevez and missing out on Isco and that we will not end up with a 3rd striker at all! My original reply is a reflection of that.

So this is what you call a discussion on who we should bring in? Here is a collection of quotes from the first two pages of the thread. Sounds like quotes from ragcafe or the sun:

Early days but a bit worried.

We haven't replaced Balotelli and I think there is a determination to see Tevez off the wage bill this summer. So the way I see it we are some way behind were we should be at the moment.

My worry is Pellegrini attempting to change too much too soon & us struggling to adapt

can Pellegrini hit the Premier Leage road running ? he is going to have too without doubt !

For us to move to the next level, we need to improve, but we can"t to that at the moment.

Tevez gone , Isco seemingly gone and now only 2 strikers in Aguero and Dzeko i am very fucking worried !!!!

Without doubt we need 4 strikers to compete in ALL competitions . The worrying bit now is Cavani is way way overpriced , Lewandowski hit and miss to say the very least , Higuain the same so the even more worrying bit is that leaves Suarez as a viable option ffs . Maybe we are in for Bale ????? who knows ????? RE again the worrying bit ....... the goals dried up for us last season hence we won fuck all , now we only have 2 strikers !!!! Lots and lots of work to be done by the spanish suits it seems ASAP !!!

worried? I'm fucking shitting myself

Pellegrini will regret not buying a top striker once again for the second season running.

There is a discussion and then there is moan while soiling your diapers.

I didn't like missing out on Isco, it was a blow because I honestly thought we'd sign him and he looks a very exciting player. But Tevez? Who the fuck didn't know he was going?

We only need one striker, one centrehalf and if we can ship Barry, another winger would be nice, but we can probably get by without. Nasri, Milner, Silva and even Aguero can play there. Kolarov would play there if he was capable of any position, but as he isn't that's sort of a moot point.

I know I'm probably repeating myself or others, but I really do hope we give Dennis Suarez a shot. Looked good down that left hand side for Spain under 20s. Plus Rekik could do with a nod: can play left back as an under study to Cliche...

I haven't seen anything in our current academy crop that says they're ready. Personally I like Pozo as our 4th striker, but again I don't think he's ready.

Surely we have Aguero, Dzeko and Guidetti which is three strikers. Maybe we could do with another top striker but surely we could substitute Nasri as a deep lying forward? Provide space for dzeko? Just a thought that we might not need a new striker. But I would definitely be happier with another.

I hope we keep Barry. I would put him, Vinny, Zabba, Nige, Tevez, Lescott, Milner in the 'muck & nettles' catagory & imo you need a certain number in a Prem squad.

If we do sign a striker, I hope he gives us something such as lightning pace or, aerial domination or just something different which gives the oppo a whole new problem when he plays.

Guidetti missed most of last season with a career threatening illness & was hoping to use this break to try & get himself match fit, but instead has been sidelined by a knee injury. So he has to recover from the knee injury, then get back to general fitness, then get back to match fitness. At which point, he could find himself as our only fit striker, playing away in the Nou Camp, then at Anfield 3 days later, as Dzeko picked up a knock & Aguero had a hamstring injury.

Not really feasible if we're serious about winning stuff next season is it ?

Hmm... Valid point I completely forgot about his injuries. Prevented him going to the euros didn't it? Surely a world class poacher would suit 3rd striker? Maybe Gomez but he wouldn't be happy as a sub. Could win us games with one or two touch/es when needed against parking the bus teams at 80mins.

I would like us to unearth a new talent. They are out there & Txiki will be aware of most. But I suppose we'll end up signing one of the usual suspects.

Another option is someone like Jovetic who scores a decent number of goals but can play the Isco role & is very adaptable .

From what I'm hearing, Guidetti's race is run, at least with us.
