Odd thing is whilst a proper defender the man is not poor on the ball by any means.

I think being as mature as he is at his age will be massive for us over time and really already as we can see.

Early days yet but he's made a promising start.

Seems to be the tough centre back we've been lacking since Vinny left. But also seems to be able to play too.

Both him and Ake have started well.

At a minimum it ensures Stones is no more than 4th choice centre back. Hopefully he's gone by Jan.

If my defenders don’t make any individual errors, defend collectively and give solid 7/10 or 8/10 performances week in week out consistently, then for me, we win a lot more than we lose and we end up with a pot or two on the sideboard every year

Chatting this weekend about Zabba retirement, my mate said when he got assaulted by Scholes at Wembley he just went into that tackle with everything. Mendy would never do that, neither would Cancelo. We have lost that. Vinny the same putting the body on the line for us.

Are you being serious? A mild wind can injure Mendy and you expect him to tackle like a warrior? Can't get the plucker to half tackle nevermind full hearted Zabba style

P.s can Mendy head a ball?

He's a fucking bucket of dripping wet diarrhea - the very worst cunt we have in the team (52 million pounds and he has earned over 20 million pounds that's before any bonuses (Id imagine hes on a 10 million pound bonus if he manages to stay injury free for more than 2 games)

Absorb that reality.

You TWAT, Carlito ! I just inhaled about 250ml of Hofbrau when I read that ! Your poetic creativity rivals that of Dylan Thomas . . .

I think when people post about Mendy in someone else’s thread, they should prefix it with ‘THIS MEANS MENDY’. Poor old Ruben might think you were talking about him.

We all need to inhale something when we have to watch that cunt playing for us.

Also from today's presser

PEP (Dias has) settled good, settled quick. He came from Benfica fully fit. He needs time to get some situations, some ideas, rhythm or process we need. He’s incredibly open minded with huge personality.

Dias looks like he has been a cornerstone for years when the reality is he’s had 6 months. Him and Stones look an immense partnership where the sum may well be superior to the parts. His celebration with Stones at the end was infectious and shows they are building something rather special together. By accident or by design, it’s working

Has to be captain for me next season, if not earlier

This was everyone's opinion a few months back.
Stones resurrection is nothing short of miraculous.
